What a Giro, yesterday was one incredible stage.

Feel really sorry for Kruijswijk.

Today, the final battle

Emotional finish to the Giro.

What a classy guy Esteban Chaves is.

The Critérium du Dauphiné looks to be a cracker this year.

Rare to see an opening prologue with a profile like this

Forms a bit unclear, but I like Thiabaut Pinot for the overall. Today's prologue should be Contador v Froome, but a surprise could be on. Julian Alaphilippe has some great form from California, & rare to mention Dan Martin for a prologue, but the steep course should be to his liking.

Spare time is scarce this year to keep the thread properly updated.

First week could see bigger time gaps than usual between the GC guys, some shorter stages with attacking potential.

On the face of it, Froome v Quintana. Closely matched, small margins between  the two. May come down how each tactically use their teams. Expecting a final week of Quintana attacking, with Froome hanging on. But so many scenarios are possible.

No bet recs. Personally, I have Pinot from earlier in the year at 48/1. But I'm always rooting for a French winner of the Tour.

Hoping for an amazing race, whatever it always keeps me hooked.

Not an ideal start for Contador.

A chance for a Frenchman to get the yellow jersey. Gallopin, Alaphilippe, & Coquard. All will be on Sagan's wheel. I've gone for Coquard EW 25/1.

Sprint stage. Wouldn't be surprised to see Sagan take this, especially if its a scrappy run in.

Sam Bennett was involved in the nasty stage 1 high speed crash at the finish.

Quote
“ I could see the bone in my finger,” the Bora-Argon 18 rider said. “I had to go under to get it stitched up. I am just trying to keep my fingers dry today. They are all wrapped up. The pressure on them is a lot but they should be okay. Trying not to bend them to break the stitches is the hardest.”

Real gritty & tough ride to beat the time cut. Coming in last yesterday, over 15 mins down. True spirit of cycling

First lumpy stage of interest. 50/50 a break could make it today imo. Teams will be looking to a strong pace to drop Sagan before the finish. AG2R may try something, Bardet is a local boy. Pretty sure Ettix will want to put Alaphillipe or Martin in yellow.
