Frankel - When will we start seeing the fruit of his loins as it were?

Is there particular excitement about anything he has sired so far?

Assume he will continue to Stud until he is no longer capable - what age is that for a horse in general?

Any idea how much it would it cost to "stand" a horse with Frankel?

£125k is Frankel's stud fee.

I
One of his is running today at Chantilly iirc

Finished 8th on debut - Proconsul

Nevermind. I'm talking crap. It was his brother :|

There's been racing at Ludlow since 1725. About time I made the trip, really.

150 entries the other day but only 55 running, which is a shame. If anyone fancies anything, I'd be delighted to hear from you.

I went to school in Ludlow.
My main recollection of the races was that the bus home was diverted when the races were on and we would be late getting home.
Should be banned imo.

Morning mate.

A reliable Irish contact I have told me that Gaelic Myth will win the 3.05 last night when it was 25-1. I missed the big price, and don't really fancy it myself, but fwiw.

I think if Brennan can hold onto Nocha de Reyes longer than he did last time, he probably has enough to win again in the 4.15.

Finally, Cottersrock looks solid in the 4.45, but not much of a price.

Good Luck old chap.

I very nearly went myself today as well Tal for the very first time but the 1/10 poke in the first race put me off alongside how long it takes to get there from mine on the back roads even though it is only 50 miles away.

Lovely day, made all the better by an 11/2 winner. Thank you, muchly.

Arb, you missed a belter: glorious sunshine and bookies with empty satchels.

So I was a week early. First Frankel foal runs at Newbury on Friday with a certain Mr. Dettori on board. Cunco. One to look for! It'll probably be harder to avoid hearing how it's done

Liked the way Global Thrill ran at Chelts last time, and think he looks reasonable value in the last at Worcester.

The earlier 12-1 has gone now it looks like staying dry, but plenty of 10s around for those that want to get involved. GL

I once played golf on the course which intertwines with the racecourse in a pro-am with one of the assistants from my club in Nottingham, quite an interesting golf course to be fair.

On the map it looked like it was just the other side of Brum but I couldn't believe how long it took to get there, especially the bit from Brum to Ludlow which must have been another hour.

And the rest. It's all A-Roads, up hill and down dale.

Lovely journey, mind. Also a terrific course. The top of the stands is a magnificent place to be just before racing starts. You get quite a view.
