Terrible fall for Ana O'Brien, riding for brother Joseph at Killarney on Tuesday.

These jockeys are amazingly brave.

Whenever I see the emergency helicopter at a racecourse it sends shivers down my spine.

Hope she makes a full recovery.

Was nearly another horrible incident that day as well, a shoe came off a horse and luckily hit the lady behind on the helmet. An inch shorter would have hit her full in the face. Was not a good day. Think druids cross was put down too. (may have been another horse)

Sad news from Haydock

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/horse-racing/40686921

A stalls handler has died after an incident at Haydock on Friday.

Stephen Yarborough was flown to Whiston Hospital after being run over by the mobile starting stalls but later died, stalls operators RaceTech confirmed.

Absolute scenes here lads.

Dramatic news - the 'winner' of Yarmouth's opener, 2yo Mandarin Princess, was in fact 3yo stablemate Millie's Kiss. More to follow...

I'd backed Millies Kiss for the 3:15.

Normally when I back a horse in the 13:40, it has a fair chance to win the 3:15... not the other way around.

Interesting to see the excuse for being a NR in the 3:15.... "bit tired from her earlier race?"

There should be a pricing model which can historically decide what price Millie's Kiss would have been in the 1.40 and then re-settle all bets with deductions taken into account  Cheesy

FWIW, there was the mother of all rainstorms this afternoon in Surrey, lasted a good 40 minutes & it was absolutely torrential.

In 2.30 Pontefract today I like liquid Gold at 5/2 (and had a small saver on Jan De Heem 9-1)

Glorious Goodwood has come round quickly.

Shameless Seamus is having his last mud fest.  Not sure how much watering he has been able to do with all the rain around.

No betting emporium this year?

I can't say I have anything lined up yet.  Not sure my accounts will last the week.

Lets go.
