Have just backed Aquarius 2.00 Nott at 18-1 getting 1/5 4 places with Sky. Has ideal conditions on breeding. Trainer / course / jockey combination very effective. Cant take too literally, but ran to a very similar level in 5f listed race at Newbury as today's fav On the Stage. Dropped back in trip and hood omitted, with De Sousa (to try and make all?) to overcome poor draw.
Also backed De Sousa on Aluqair in the first (not a fanboy betting him blind in every race , but there are probably worse strategies out there)

Sure sign winter is coming, as today sees the Cesarewitch.

A whopping 36 runner field, with the jolly at 4/1, even 7/2 in places, there ought to be some value somewhere.

Beware the place terms which vary from 4 to 8, paying either quarter or fifth, & prices adjusted accordingly, obv.

Did Whiskey Sour a while back, but with Mullins coming over mob handed, have lost all confidence. Now a bigger price and more places on offer........running good!

I like the draw Limini has and the way she stayed on last time.

Cant resist a small ew dart on Night of Glory too at 100s.

Theres 3 to avoid!!

With all the rain I think going at Goodwood will be GS/S by the last race on the card. Frank Bridge hasn’t had his ground since the spring when winning in this class at Ripon. Several of those ahead in the betting are unconvincing on slower going, so with Gerard Mosse on top for the first time (and he has decent form at the track) and a price of 12/1 (1/5 4 Ladyboys) or 11/1 (1/4 4 Everyday) I think this is a bet.

Will keep my eyes on the price of Jack Nevison in 5.05 at Yarmouth tomorrow. Hard to get too excited about one with his 1-22 record, but that win came when turned out again within 3 days and trainer has good value stats both at course and when running again within 1-7 days. Based on sire stats would expect him to act on soft if there's a lot of overnight rain, though admittedly there's little evidence of this in record to date.
Has been running consistently without winning, so maybe an ok e/w play depending on number of non-runners and eventual shape of race.
