Going back to Tom Queally it looks like he has secured the first jockey position at Richard Spencer and Rebel racing

That stable will be going places with Rebel backing it, nice winning horse Alfie Solomons last night and Spencer still as a bunch of two year olds to hit the track

Royal Ascot will be televised on Sky Sports from next year;

AtTheRaces, as such, will disappear & be replaced by a new Sky Sports Channel, "Sky Sports Racing".

Do you know if Sky Sports Racing begin next year or sooner?  The press release talks about Ascot from next year, but doesn't seem clear when AtTheRaces changes.

Don't know for sure, the last I heard was "by the beginning of 2019". It will certainly be well before Royal Ascot, as it states that the Ascot deal is from March 2019.

If only Compo was available to front it.

They will also sadly lose all of the Irish racing which has migrated to RUK.

Should I assume that Sky Sports Racing will become a subscription channel?

Should I assume that Sky Sports Racing will become a subscription package?

It will form part of the existing Sky Sports package afaik. No extra cost as such, but part of an existing subscription package. The same basis as, say, Sky Sports Golf and Sky Sports F1.

That's what I figured, so going from Free for all Sky TV to only Sky Sports subscribers, no shock there

Slightly off-tangent, but although Ascot have signed up to Sky Sports Racing, it will still be TX on ITV until at least 2020 or 2021.

Goodwood today

15,14 and 15 runners in the handicaps and 7 in the Goodwood Cup with Stradivarius 1/2.

Anybody got anything that isn't each way?

fwiw I like Blonde Warrior and Tip Two Win

The first's an improver with enough potential to win a race like this, the second's been running pretty well in tougher races.

What's the view on draw bias - if any - at Goodwood these days? Increasingly, it seems little if any as long as the trainer/jockey get the right tactics and don't get unlucky in running.
