News reaches me that Adzy is in France again, buying up more swathes of real estate, but he'll be back home soon.
So at least he is fit & well, though probably potless now.
Anyone heard from simonnatur? Not being nosy, just odd that he has not been around, he generally posts every day. Not that we miss him, but we need some winners.....

You cant win em all but best to lay off a little when yonder isn't visible

Morning.
Several folks have PM'd me to ask why this thread seems to have gone quiet, it has been very popular with nearly 2,000 Posts & 40,000 views in just over a year,
Truth is, I don't know, but we can't force folks to Post.
horsey started it, & used to be prolific, but he has a "proper job" these days, & as he can no longer follow Racing as closely as he used to, he does not like the responsibility of posting without his full quota of info & inside knowledge.
Adzy, as we now know, has been preoccupied with his Chateau in France, and his work for the Arsene Appreciation Society, but fingers crossed he will resume duties again soon.
I don't know why simonnatur is not currently posting, he still logs onto blonde daily though, so hopefully he is fit & well.
We can so easily take threads like this for granted, & those who post on them, but we soon miss them once they go AWOL.
Anyway, all is not lost, we still have Marky.......

Morning.
I am now up and fully working IT wise down here in sunny La Roch.
What bliss to watch Racing Uk on the lappie yesterday!
Not sure why its gone so quiet on the thread when it was buzzing two weeks ago?
Anyway, its a truly dreadful days racing but I thought The Strig in the last at Bath maybe worth an interest, especially if there is a splash of cash.
Very much a job horse for Stuart Williams he is now in the care of Nigel Tinkler, who also takes the money home more often than not when it is down.
Interesting weekend ahead. Be lucky.

GIQ, ffs.......
No, I don't know either, maybe it will return to its former glories again soon.
Weird thing, forum threads, even the best ones need "working" to keep them fresh & active.

Morning Trev.
Always looks great fun. I always try one race each year and don't think I have ever have a winner yet.
Today, the donkey I shall go for is Olive in the third race.

Thanks for the concern Tikay, just a long weekend away. Back to business now, I'm going to use a 1-5 point scale going forward:
2.30 Haydock Looking for a horse that stays further ideally, stats strongly suggest a high draw is favoured,
Hostile Fire
6/1 3pts e/w is in good form and seems to fit the bill perfectly to me. will also bet
No Poppy
8/1 1pt e/w and a very speculative 0.5pt e/w
Berlusca
16/1 who ran a decent last race at York, but guessing whether he'll perform on this surface. Obviously hoping 12 line up, maybe worth holding off till lunchtime to be reasonably sure.

Did you have a pass? Next time, ask.

High numbers defo not favoured over round 1m at Haddock sir. Not sure they'll be going much pace in here and We'll Shake Hands might get an easy lead, but wouldn't put you off any of those three.

GL with those Simon.
I was very keen on a few quid on Woody Bay in that race on his first turn out for Mark Walford. Owner looked to have two in its last race and was going to sell which ever was beat the most. Had a rough passage and thought it was one to note. Back to a winnable mark and been running ok. Draw puts me off a bit, but its been done before. At 25s, I can take a chance.
Very keen on following up New Providence at Salisbury. 9/2 looks ok.

Got to like someone who has got the balls to put up second outsider of twelve at 25s
Tough race

4.40 Haydock Was unsure about betting e/w or win, in the end did my two stronger fancies e/w and win only saver bets on the other two. Will be a bit gutted if Xinbama gets his head in front today, since I dithered and didn't back at 10-1 last night and don't think there's much value at current 13/2.
Mister Fizz 20/1 1.5pts e/w
Kings Bayonet 22/1 1.5pts e/w
Nicholascopernicus 20/1 0.5 pt win
Dark Ruler 14/1 0.5 pt win

As you well know Trev, I make plenty of mistakes
, but in playing these sort of prices, Its been a long time since I can recall going 25 races without a winner. Close plenty of times! But, Im pretty sure I can get it right often enough to stay ahead of the game. Fingers crossed!
