3 poorly chosen nags yesterday at York, but having another go today. 2 from the tracker and one on the mention list from before.
315 John F Kennedy 5/1 has to win this if to live up to the derby hype surrounding this all winter. Given another chance on drier ground and with a run behind its belt.
345 Loving Spirit 12/1 6f Handicapper been knocking at the door in hot handicaps. trip and Ground to suit and today could be his day
450 Seastrom 5/1 Debut was a little rusty and betting reflected, strong yard and fancy this today
Couple of 3pt singles and some permed doubles and a cheeky each way treble for me.
Good Luck
Who gave you 5/1 John F Kennedy?
Not sure I would call Loving Spirit a 6f handicapper, and if he is, I wouldn't say a 1m race is his ideal conditions!
That said, i quite like his chances, although Fahey on his SL blog, says he wants it softer. Ha! Fahey/Smahey!!! What does he know. lol

From Derby favourites, to Tescos Value BBQ packs...
Be interesting to hear what AOB has to say about that.

After a poor Wednesday, Thursday was a slight profit day with one 5/1 winner(3/1 SP).
3 for today:
240 York Top Tug 9/2- Inadequate trip first time out, expected to stay 1m4f, and could be a very good handicapper. Stoute amongst the winners of late, Ryan on board, and up against a few exposed but consistent handicappers. All over this nag.
1620 York Seve- 14/1 one run one win last year, Kingscote/Dascombe combo. Had an injury after it won well first time out and put away for the season. If ready to do itself justice first time out(stable often are) then 14/1 could be a great price on this sprinter. Trainer mentioned this as a 3 year old to follow earlier this season.
1650 Fab Lolly-25/1- Well handicapped on its all weather form and if translates that to turf this year, could be one to keep an eye on. Well weighted and got no run of the race over a trip too short last time out. Very open race and keen to back this each way.
Good luck to anyone playing.

Mistiroc runs in 7.25 Hamilton tonight. Went in my tracker as it's one of Calum Madell's flat horses to follow. He highlights stamina in pedigree and suspects might go well over further than today's mile and a half. Appears ground will suit and has been supported from 10's into 7-1 this morning.
A bit doubtful value at current price and concern over yard form, but I will most likely have a very small win bet - even if I probabaly should just be watching.

Don't know if you follow this guy who has been in very good form lately

"4.20 Newcastle With thunderstorms forecast (here we go again!), Rayadour (15.5 on BETDAQ as I write) might be an interesting outsider today.Trainer Micky Hammond is in fine form (including two winners from his last four starters) and Graham Lee, who won this race last year on Jan Smuts, switches to Rayadour."
He recommends 1pt e/w (unusually low stakes - so presume not much confidence behind this). I'm watching ATR at the moment and there'e just been a hailstorm, so any softening of the ground would likely strengthen the bet as all decent form has been on soft.

Fancy Hello Beautiful in the Newcastle 3;00pm race today. At the 16/1 mark represents great value in my opinion. Come down in the weights last year, moved stables since and in off a lightweight today with a good jock on board. Tried with cheekpieces again today for a stable with a good record up there. Couple of points win or each way dependent on how you like your each way value in 9 runner races

Couple of bets for me today. Back to my Brian Meehan yard i always have followed, barring an awful season last year has always done well with his horses in spells in my opinion. Adz might disagree, but he has had a cracking start to the season, and has had horses winning first time out when usually they always need a run. Lets hope last year is behind him and he will have a great season ahead.
Critical Risk Sandown 1825- 8pts WIN! Won last time out in a nice handicap at Doncaster, small penalty today and stable fully expect this horse to go in again today. 3/1 in places still.
Maraakib 350pm Goodwood- 1pt Each Way-Seasonal Debut behind him, and expected to perform a lot better now stepped up in trip. Dane on board and a lot worse speculative punts than this horse about today at 33/1.
Good Luck me, and anyone else considering a nibble.

Can't disagree with facts mate. He has had a good start to the season.
I would suggest he has had more than just one bad season though. Went to see how many over the past few years but stumbled across his website. Nice to see a trainer give a daily appraisal of their horses chances.
http://www.brianmeehan.co.uk/latestnews
A question though, I notice a few of the contributors here use points, but what is the bank you(and anyone else) are using and the points spread?
ie, is it a max of ten points/20 points/5 points etc, so we know what the strength is. 8pts is a strong bet if the max is 10, but not so much if its a 20pt max.

Hi Adz
Yeah, he has had that website for the last 5 years, and it is very informative and refreshingly honest in my opinion. The website has had some work done on it in the last 18 months and looks very professional compared to the old absic HTM site they had.
Have a mate who has a couple of horses in the yard, and he really rates Meehan. He has some good owners and held his hands up to a horrible 18 months at the end of last summer. But always been a good horseman and has some high hopes for a few two year olds this year and some of his older horses. A few group winners in the piping they feeL. I try and post what i hear but as you know too well, the best secrets dont always get out to the likes of us.
Everyone is different i guess on the Stake part, some use a fiver a point, some use more, dependent on their roll and how they punt. I guess if your average punt is a tenner win or each way, then a point win would be £10 win. I generally use a score a point for anything i put up, then again i am a degenerate
Based on a ten point Max bet for me!
