Meanwhile Douvan in from 5/1 to 3/1 and looking like a runner if the market is to be believed.

No Douvan in today's final decs.

been watching this market all week with a vested interest, find the whole douvan thing farcical and unsavoury. i think this article is a good summary http://www.racinguk.com/news/article/47490/bookmakers-in-the-firing-line-after-douvan-is-not-declared-for-tingle-creek

it doesn't reflect well on the sport at all, and although turning up on the day is obviously a major risk with ante post betting, why is it only after 48hr decs are made mullins can say "It was an easy enough decision to make, it was probably Un De Sceaux all the time...". i appreciate his job is to his owners and not punters but really what is the point in him (or ruby either) being paid for his racingpost blog at this point?

i did see that betfred are refunding all ante post bets on douvan so well done them.

I'm wondering if the race could get set up for something coming from off the pace if Ar Mad and Un De Sceaux get silly in front.

Don't laugh but I'm actually considering that old rogue Vibrato Valtat who can look very good on a going day.

Saddened to hear of the death of Walter Swinburn at 55. I remember the day he rode Shergar to victory in the Chester Vase by 12 lengths was the first time I had watched a horse race and thought 'wow that was something special'. Then they won the Derby by 10 lengths and I was hooked.

RIP The Choirboy

Thistlecrack for King George, who knew?

I'm a little worried the pace of the race will put too much pressure on his jumping and find him out.

I think that more pace might just help, rather than him dawdling along half asleep.

I hope it does.  Cue Card 6/4. Thistlecrack 13/8 seems madness to me.  Cue Card is absolutely top class over fences.  Thistlecrack might be.  Guess we'll all know for sure in a few days.

Good to see the connections giving it a go.

Would want to be all over cue card for the king George
In a match bet with thistlecrack.

Also think MTOY is a player in the Xmas hurdle.
Yanworth and VVM's best trip is 2 and a half these days
And we know how sharp of a track kempton is. The new one isn't pacy enough
To win this over 2miles but if the ground comes up good
Or not too soft then I can see mtoy running a mighty big race at 11/1
Any thoughts?

with cue card and thistlecrack taking out 80% of the betting market, the 2/1 Reverse forecast looks ok doesn't it?

i am surprised to see the inexperienced thistlecrack favourite

Was this Betfraud? If so they're now Evens. And if they opened 2-1 heads should roll.
