I know they said they were under some sort of Duress, was this looked into or any attempt made to substantiate their claims...?

Seems about right to me, the sentence is enough to deter others and to punish the Mules for drug running..

They can consider themselves lucky they didn't try it in a country with harsher penalties. If they want to risk it all to end up in some shithole prison or worse because of greed I don't have much sympathy for them really.

They should know what they where getting into but obviously they didn't or decided it was worth taking the risk

Ignorance/naivety about laws is no excuse. There's no excuse when it comes to drug laws, everyone knows the score.Lucky to get away with 6 years.

Unless you have naïve children on the receiving end of these substances. Not harsh enough in my opinion.

they would of gotten worse sentances in this country and a hell of alot worse in others

they claimed too start with they were made too do it but came too there senses

and told the truth lucky for them they will still be young

when they get out and have there whole lives ahead of them
