Noticed Murray Henderson on there.

I've not seen or heard anything of him for at least twenty, maybe thirty years.

Directly over the Rio. I guess Phil Helmuth must have entered the building.

Jimmy White?

If only there were a film crew from the UK to interview him.

Looking forward to further probing questions, having seen the paxmanesque dismantling of Shane Warne.

Here are the official payouts for the $60,348,00 in the Main Event prize pool

http://www.wsop.com/tournaments/payouts.asp?grid=1136&tid=14268&dayof=142683

Just the $4m taken out of the prize pool this year then.

I wonder how much they take for the whole series.

It probably a good thing its not in Smellovision too. I would be cacking myself!

Wednesday's Main Event action consisted of two separate flights of players divided into two different areas of the Rio Convention Center. The 470 Day 1A survivors fit snugly inside the Amazon Room, while the 1,154 survivors from Day 1B were spread throughout the Pavilion and Brasilia Rooms.

Here are the top five chip stacks from today's session:

Amar Anand - 603,500
Calvin Lee - 500,700
Luther Tran - 479,700
Charles Chattha - 423,300
Alan Mastic - 400,000

Will Molson (370,300), Danny Fuhs (368,800) Brian Hastings (367,300), Pierre Neuville (357,600), Jake Cody (340,100), Anton Morgenstern (305,000) and Fedor Holz (303,900) also survived with well above-average stacks.

overall 654 made it through day2ab as follows

Brits through from day 2a/b

Chaz Chattha 423k
Jake Cody 340k
Marc Foggin 283k
Georges Georgiou 199k
Chris Moorman 190k
Rob Sherwood 186k
Matt Davenport 162k
Nicholas Katz 145k
Michael Greco 140k
Talal Shakerchi 130k
Chris Bjorin 123k
Stuart Rutter 118k
Daniel Bland 102k
Charlie Carrel 96k
Chun Law 91k
Daniel McAulay 90k
Sebastian Ruthenberg 74k
David L'Honore 74k
Alfie Adam 71k
Rob Akery 71k
Sebastian Saffari 63k
Chris Brammer 57k
Keith Johnson 52k
Jon Spinks 49k
Chris Gordon 48k
Tim Davie 45k
Jerome Ogrodzki 35k
Peter Akery 34k
Peter Charalambous 29k
Darren Moreton 27k

If I got my sums right, 26% of day 1a and 1b field are still in, making average stack of 114,500. If day 1c has a similar percentage making it through, that will leave roughly 1682 progressing to day 3, with 1000 paying.

edit - 654 made it through instead of the 644 that were showing on the chip counts. Meaning % making it through is a little higher and average stack a little lower. Cba re-doing the maths but it's pretty close. Projected 1700 for day 3.

2 quick trivia questions. No googling.

The Main Event had 6,420 entrants.

How many were in the age band of 21 - 25?

How many of that age band 21 - 25 were female?
