WTO rules not okay for Brexit Britain.

David Davis is writing the Brexit paper - or is he

Talk of parallel briefing notes by Olly Robbins - and even an alternate draft being prepared elsewhere in Whitehall

EU explain to the UK, again, that they will not drop their own rules & guidelines - & that time is running out...a super-special cherry picking goods single market deal is not on offer.

None of that is new -  EU sees like we all do UK is negotiating with itself, still, and onto Chequers for more trying to find a position!

Britain beats off Italy & Spain to land £20b navy defence contract this week

UK economic growth revised in first quarter up 0.2%

Sterling up 0.7%

May pledges extra £20b for NHS

Latest figures show EU still struggling with weak financial infrastructure & high unemployment. Collapse of EU looks likely in the future.

Migration is top of EU ageda this week, that's going to be some kind of headache for EU to deal with.

economic growth of 0.2% is good news?  It seems pretty poor, particularly when we have a large national debt and are facing a possible massive economic shock.   The possible collapse of the EU isn't great news either, unless you put schadenfreude over prosperity.

Slowest economic growth in the G20, and that's before the incoming exogenous shock.

No Brexit dividend, NHS spend to be paid for by extra tax and more borrowing

Aussie defence deal is 4000 extra jobs. In Australia. At least it shows we can mdo deals while in the EU I suppose

I will keep stockpiling the tinned peaches, thanks

Constantly talking down our chances of success in politics, economy and sport

Don't find the prospect of sitting there all miserable surrounded by peaches greatly alluring I'm afraid

No the sport thing is all about betting value. Would love us to win.

On Brexit I would love it to work, I just can't see it, nor can I see anything to give me confidence and that opinion is getting stronger by the day. Just realism.

The inability to see anything positive is pessimism not realism mate

Pretending there are positives in leaving the EU under a clueless minority government is just delusional. If you had to guess who is most knowledgeable on this subject out of you, Woodsey and Tighty. Who would you go for? Perhaps more interestingly, who would everyone else go for?

Ok. What is there positive? Facts, not hopes...Irish Border solution? Customs solution? Avoiding a no deal exit?

Give it your best shot.

It was a Long shot two years ago but a series of unforced errors (red lines, botched early election, early notification of A50 with no plan) have left it unworkable without severe economic shocks

I know who the people who will drive this country forward the most post Brexit, it will be those with a positive mindset that make things happen, not the negative nellies who can’t find positives to say about many things.

Tighty’s the best at posting doom and gloom links for sure!
