there is no good solution

people have to compromise somewhere, or else risk the GFA

"Brexit secretary Dominic Raab has dismissed a Canada-style free trade agreement with the European Union as unacceptable because it would trigger a backstop that would consign Northern Ireland to an indefinite limbo.

Mr Raab was appearing before the Commons EU scrutiny committee after Brexiteer Conservatives claimed that EU chief negotiator, Michel Barnier, shared their enthusiasm for a Canada-style deal."

The Government has openly admitted that a no-deal Brexit will mean austerity 2.0 - wonder if people who voted for Brexit to stop immigration think it is public services taking another drastic hit is a price worth paying.?

I'm no fan of May, but this is rather harsh.

The real villain is Cameron. The smug bastard seems to have got away with creating this fiasco and then making a cowardly run for it. It'll be interesting to read how he spins it in his autobiography. Meanwhile, he's been smart enough to keep his head down till the storm has passed, but I'm amazed that the media have also let him off the hook.... for now.

We’ve heard these warnings before. Osborne made them in the referendum campaign.

If we do arrive at a no deal exit and the cost is less than the figures being bandied around then Hammond (if he is still in the job, which seems less and less likely) will take credit for avoiding a problem that he told us we would have.

Seems an extraordinary spot for people who support Brexit to be calling for DC to be punished for calling the referendum. He knows he’s the worst leader our once great country has had. That feels like plenty of punishment, maybe even too much.
