Surely you just say that only insurers who meet Solvency II capital requirements can operate in the UK.  Anything else would be disastrous anyway.

Frank Field not a happy camper.

Pretty strong stuff "the leadership a force for anti-Semitism in British politics."

Sounds like the left wing loonies have forced his deselection too.

Surprised to see the French surrendering

I keep hoping that we are finished with comments like this but, unfortunately, some people still haven't grown out of them.

they may force his deselection but they will then lose one of the safest seats in the country.

the people of birkenhead are very fond of frank field. he uses their public transport, replies and engages with people who write to him [i had an extended email debate with him on enviromental issues when i was a young idealist] has an open door policy for his many clinics and he has been passionate about representing the people around here.

he's nowhere near perfect, but he is in the game for the right reasons and people respect that

if they manage to deselect him he simply runs as an indi and carries the seat.

What is wrong with the woman? Does she not have any self awareness or read the press?

I'm sure she does have self-awareness and reads the press more than the average person. In spite of that she has the balls to bust a few moves in front of millions of people.

I'm no Theresa may fan, but in this instance, hats off to her.

Brexit mini-story of the week dead? Barnier tells German media he isn't softening his position. French minister tells BBC that Macron isn't either. Meanwhile, a senior EU source says a breakthrough on the backstop is a "long way off."

Yeah I felt bad for her the first time but the second time she had a bit of swagger and really got into it. Gawd bless er.

My guess would be that she has some political advisors telling her that she comes across as too stiff and needs to do some things humanize her image.

Not a strategy that always works but I'm thinking she will gain at least a small amount of political capital from this in the long term.

Really the political advisors should be telling her that the dancin is coming across too stiff as well. That she really needs to work on the hip movement, cut out the angular elbows. Agreed with the fair play for having a go and all that but it's only a 4/10 from me darrr-ling.

That’s it! She’s actually a really good dancer but she is sandbagging ready for her appearance on Strictly in 2020. Someone tell TfT to get on now while the price is good.

She is definitely better at dancing than she was at Home Secretarying and all available evidence says better dancer than PM, she might turn it around though. Pretty amazing to have the two we’ve had one after the other. DC looked nailed on for the worst ever (in any of our lives and any reasonably foreseeable future). Boris next lol
