There is an inferred comparison in the title of that piece “fled Nazi persecution” and “flee Brexit”. Pretty pathetic stuff really.

read the article, not just the headline
we think this is a positive bi-product of brexit?

It's a neutral by-product. Some people have paid a few pounds for a new passport so they might avoid some issues, at an unknown point in the future, if they decide they want to move, in case there is an actual problem with moving, but probably not to Germany (fairly confident that Germany will be low on the potential list of destinations). Tbf, it is a crap headline and the story has a core fact that is spun into a series of deceits and dumb pronouncements - all , imo of course:-)

I did read it. 1,600 applying to essentially leave their options open is hardly earth shattering or surprising news. It certainly isn’t people fleeing. It’s a non story and a ridiculous headline.

Cowardly custards who seek to panic flee the country when faced with marginal economic decline wont be missed.

I am sure you post for a reaction
most of the time i count to 100
occasionally though, i succumb
i think they might be fleeing/thinking of fleeting as they don't feel welcome and fear what living here in a nationalist environment might be like.
not much to do with economic decline which you insist will be marginal without a clue what you are talking about or any detail to back it up

I tried to have a conversation with a Brexiteer the other day but his upper lip was so stiff I couldn't understand what he was saying.

I have a lot of respect for your views Tighty but really disagree with you on this story. If they are descendants of people that fled Germany in the 1940’s, they will be second or third generations now. They will be established as much UK cirizens and as much a part of our culture as you or I. It’s an economic/freedom of movement/ability to work issue were they are leaving their options open. The idea that they are fleeing from a nationalist environment is a red herring.

Fleeing incase Corbyn gets in!
All the ageing health tourists in Spain will be rushing to get blue passports when he gets in.
