Resile.

context of the post last night from Newsnight

"I don't want to vote Lib Dem. I want to vote Labour. But I won't resile from the fact the Labour Party is in a difficult situation."

Tony Blair refuses to say he would vote Labour at the next election, citing anti-Semitism as "a real problem"  bbc.in/2Y9F4Zp

Watch as J OB asks Stewart how dangerous Boris is

The pause and silence!

a politician who is really present in the moment and so visibly questioning things.

https://twitter.com/brexit_sham/status/1153252750232367105?s=20

Funny to see it on same night as Blair's Newsnight interview in which he's behaving the same way: uncertain, bit tortured, giving a genuine account of himself.

Just felt inevitable the way things are going.

and a positive counterpoint

Boris likes people. And people like him back. In that respect he’s more of a Reagan than a Trump. He’ll work his magic on the heads of state he’s about to meet.

By the autumn, we’ll have the most popular leader in the world, says Lloyd Evans

"I don't think the British people will tolerate a situation where the choice at the next election is Boris Johnson v Jeremy Corbyn. I don't know how it will happen but...something will fill that vacuum" - Tony Blair on the Political Thinking podcast last year

Well now, would take something odd for it not to be that now

Checking a US visa for a gentleman traveling to DC, I noticed it was a diplomatic visa and commented “You’ll be having fun times ahead”. His reply: “Only if you call slamming your bollocks in a door having fun”.

We lolled.

I reckon all future referendums(dae,da?) should need a 60%+ majority in order to become binding and avoid such a divisive aftermath.

And as for Boris or as Donald calls him England Trump, let's all fasten our seat belts  stirthepot
