I watched it tonight, but the problem with the options and/or the guessy board thing they did is that people are telling us what they want to happen, instead of they they think will happen. And surely if there is no majority for a "new law" then there isn't one for a n confidence motion either?

Sounds like most of them think a new law won’t get through in time, so probs more relevant what they thought would happen after that.

I know it has been said again and again, and I can even say it as a remainer, but I really don't like the bias against Brexit by the BBC. They should be remaining neutral in all of this. I was watching some of the news earlier today and a bloke they was interviewing was able to have a dig at no deal/Boris when it wasn't really relevant to the interview they was doing. It really isn't fair.

Next week will be very interesting for sure. But are the numbers there? If they can't vote a new law through, then surely they can't dismiss the government because thy'd have the same numbers? And even though Boris maybe forced to extend A50, does he need to? Does he snap call the election?

Kinda think there's every possibility that next week is the week we are seeing him step out of number 10 to call the election.

I saw something on Twitter yesterday which really made me think.

Back in 2015, when the Referendum was first proposed, I really don't recall much noise or hoohah about the EU at all. Just a few Brits having a little grumble now & then, as per our national character.

Then the Referendum was called, since when we have become a Nation torn in two, with both sides entrenched, & bad blood galore, Brexit dominating headlines & Social-Media day after day, several Prime Ministers, & Ministerial resignations by the score.

Was there really such a national uprising that demanded we leave the EU & cause all this bad blood?

Meanwhile, Government seems to have had no sense of urgency throughout. Easter & Summer recesses have taken place, nobody considered (until the last few days) the very thought of sitting at weekends or on Bank Holidays. The upcoming Party Conference Season will cause another 3 weeks of no action, & yet Party Conferences have no real purpose except ra ra & back-slapping.

It's all so surreal.
