"Past few days have shown, however, there are some in Brussels do not want these talks to succeed, who do not want Britain to prosper"

Clearly Tories have gamed that inflaming aggro with Brussels, + her taking a hard line, will impress voters.

Extraordinary how far Tory campaign is pushing May over party. She stresses votes are for "me + my local candidates... me + my local team"

I would guess its because May v Corbyn in the recent polls you have put up shows her trouncing him in every single one, probably even more than cons v Lab.

We do this all the time in communication to customers at work, deliberately say certain words/phrases instead of others because we know via market research they resonate more than others versus the counter arguments. Psychology at play....

.

How did you manage to get scores that low Woodsey. I got 75% to 82% for the leftie parties and about 30% to 40% for the right wing ones.  So that makes me more Tory than you??

FWIW Greens were top.

the more questions you answer on the expanded sections of the quiz the lower and lower your %s will go

i answered a few more this afternoon but by the looks of things need another few hours to complete
my %s went to 60% labour amd tory  57% snp 55% libdem and down to 42% BNP
i imagine after another few hours of this i will be 20-30% of all the parties

I thought Tim Nice But Dim did well with the old boy this morning.  I also liked his we're not Corbyn when his followers were booing.

Perhaps the leaking in Europe of discussions with UK has played into May's hands.

Don't think they would have expected her to go as aggressively on the offensive as she has in last few hours.

Most def, quite enjoying this.

The trouble is, they read and listen to the mainstream, by and large, remain media in the UK and play a tune to the people who already agree with them.

Our media and remain politicians often seem offended by any challenging or aggressive things we say but appear to enjoy it when the EU acts in a non conciliatory way. The enjoyment comes from a ner ner, told you it would be difficult kind of way. Well, no shit, of course it's difficult - our leaving poses a big threat to their hegemony.

I think May, for all her faults domestically, is adopting exactly the right tone in this preamble to negotiations. Give nothing, say little, offer no compromises and let the EU sound increasingly shrill.

The huff and puff from the EU has increased, in my opinion, because the UK election is going to put them up against a national leader with a rock solid leadership position for a decent length of time. This is much more formidable than if we were led by someone more exposed.

Only mis-step from May, possibly, is not to go with a much shorter campaign.

Think I'll be Tory by polling day - Boudicca and the super suave David Davis or Jem, John McD and Di. Laughable innit

I have just voted in the Birmingham mayoral election - hope the staff bought a good book, I think it is going to be a very quiet day for them.
