Philip Hammond has turned into a pantomime villain. I simply recoil at the thought of having to work with this odious individual as part of my team

Every time I see a photo I’m thinking Mr Burns from The Simpsons or Cyril Sneer from The Raccoons

Not a subject I like speculating on but this must be ~ what a Dominic Cummings wet dream looks like. You should write and let him know you’re a fan. I’m sure he could arrange for pics of Hammond’s head on Cyril Sneer’s body to pop up on your fb feed.

I think we should contemplate much more the concept of unity, particularly team unity because it has been a real Achilles heel for UK during this process...for all sides, for the whole country. Particularly set against the background of EU27 unity

25 former senior UK ambassadors warn, in a letter to the times, that a no-deal Brexit would be “biggest unilateral abandonment” of our foreign interests in modern history.

In today’s ST from YouGov - another ringing endorsement for No Deal.  (insert smiley)

Brexit outcome preferences:

Ref and Remain 35%
No deal 26%
Deal w SM and CU 17%
TM Deal 7%
D K 15%

It's the 15% who don't know after 3 years i worry about

It has now become apparent that the Operation Yellowhammer document leaked was dated August 2019, and was not ‘old’.

Hammond writes to Boris

Hammond becoming quite the pratt.....

anyhooooo.

Some balance from elsewhere.

Nasty Eurocrats trying to keep their nests feathered. Behind paywalls, but the headline is good enough.

What’s this? A leak? Likely to anger EU leaders? Just as Boris lands for G7?

How very unexpected.

Hammond is correct, factually, on this point, It was painted as an old document and former ministers smeared. It wasn't.

your article is by Daniel Hannan, consistently wrong on a range of Brexit issues since 2015. Not exactly balanced!

the charlie brooker quote is old,but particularly good https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Daniel_Hannan

“Balance” provided by a founding member of the ‘Vote Leave’ organisation and a Conservative MEP.

don't follow Douglas Murray, so didn't see it. Nor did i see it from anyone else. Normally a reasonable sign that its more swivel eyed than worthy of attention if it isn't shared so i catch it

Douglas Murray is brighter than Hannan, but also not exactly a balanced voice!
