Why are there not more calls for Kavanaugh to take a lie detector test ?

Dr Ford took one I believe in 2012 and passed .

With his mate who was in the room at the time saying he cannot remember then as
usual it’s a he said she said situation .

If the FBI requested a test my guess is he would decline.

Found her testimony very credible .

Aren't they useless? Not admissible in court I thought in most places, seems like a bit of a joke. Would be interesting in this case where the court of public opinion has been made up.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that there was a judge who, in a written ruling, said that polygraphs were an important lie detecting tool and valuable for the US Government to determine credibility.

The judge who made that ruling? Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

How true this is, I'm not sure.

Kavanaugh squeaks in with 50 votes to 48.

Do we think that is too narrow a margin for such an important and influential position, especially considering that he's there for life?

Controversial! Maybe should be posted in the Brexit thread as well?

A long and detailed expose by the failing New York Times on how Fred Trump transferred vast amounts of money to Donald and the legally-questionable  dodges he used to avoid gift taxes on it, including having an employee buy three million dollars worth of chips at one of Donald's casinos and then leave without placing any bets.

The New York tax authorities have immediately opened an investigation.

One (amongst many) of the worst things about Kavanaugh is that when asked if he believed a president was allowed to pardon himself, he would not answer.

This has been mooted as one of the main reasons for the rush-job to get him appointed.

The next Governor of Pennsylvania will either be the current Gov, Democrat Tom Wolf, or Republican climate-change sceptic Scott Wagner.

Wagner is unhappy about Wolf's negative ads and today he issued a video on Facebook in front of this ad:

He says the lawsuits were normal claims against people who hadn't paid his waste companies.

So far, so reasonable. However, his threat of what he'll do about it is attracting a lot of attention:

Levi Tillemann’s ad starts off nice and boring. Don’t be fooled.

Kanye West meets Donald Trump

When Trump isn’t the craziest person in the room.

You can almost hear Donald wondering how he can get out of this situation.

It’s also, undoubtedly, the first time the word ‘motherfucker’ has been used while addressing the President on TV in the Oval Office.

There are shorter versions, but they just make Kanye seem like a madman, whereas there are some nuggets of sense in his ramble.
