BBC News - Niki Lauda, Austrian Formula 1 legend, dies at 70
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-48345660

An incredible life.

RIP.

RIP, he was a real legend

 Cry

Amazing courage to come back into the sport that nearly killed him.

Also the punchline to a very old joke involving Joan Collins having some plastic surgery.

One of a kind...a great ambassador for racing.

I enjoyed his banter with the boys on The Morning Line.

RIP Rutger Hauer.

Such an underrated actor. He will probably be best remembered for playing the android Roy Batty in Bladerunner, especially the final improvised Tears in the rain monologue for which the link is below.

Ironically his character in the 1982 film also died in 2019.

The Hitcher and Blind fury were amongst my favourite films of the 1980’s

Wanted: Dead or Alive was a great film.
Hobo With A Shotgun not so much - more gratuitous violence than all of Taratino put together!

Lord Bell - RIP

Maggie's favourite -man, the one who sold the Saatchi's "Labour Isn't Working" poster ad of the 1982 election campaign. Hugely popular with his agency staff.
