current form everyone injury free who would be in your Davis cup and Billie Jean King cup teams?
Assuming you have to take Skupski and Salisbury with Evans Norrie and Draper for the men but do you play the double specialists together?
In the Women there are no real standouts in the doubles and would you play Emma in the singles? And would Watson get in the squad if she made herself available

I wouldn't take Watson, she just seems out of form and doesn't seem confident. Think Raducanu and Dart seem obvious, and Boulter played really well in it the one before her injury, so would put her in if Raducanu injured. Watson plays a few doubles matches, so maybe there is a place for her there with Dart?
Think Evans, Norrie and Drapar are obvious for men with Peniston reserve. Don't follow doubles enough, but we seem to have loads of solid options in men's doubles.

Miaia v Burrage 3rd match on centre court tomorrow
Much as Burrage has impressed with her improvement, she is likely to really strugle vs that power. Good luck to her though. Her and Boulter have well and truly shown it was the right decision to give her a wildcard over Heather Watson.
Easy trivia? Boulter, Burrage and Peniston have all done something in the last couple of weeks that Raducanu has never done in her career. What is it?
Today's Haddad Maia post.
She was the first woman to win both Nottingham and Edgbaston WTAs in the same season. If she wins Eastbourne, that would be pretty hard to match, and there is nobody in the draw playing better. Smiled a bit when the commentator suggested Burrage might be tired after her week, when she is playing someone who hasn't really had a break for 2.5 weeks.
I read in a preview that she is already on the most grass wins in a row at this level since Serena Williams in 2015 (or similar). Don't know how true it is, but seems plausible.
1.01 her and Swiatek meet in the last 32 at Wimbledon.

As an aside to this, do you think Murray could play? I just think he is going to be limiting his games too much, but he doesn't need the money anymore, is inlikely to win a slam, so should be more interested in the glory of this?

think Andy wants te youngsters to come through so might come along but not in squad jamie is desperate for mens wimbledon dbls title think this will be his last shot at it though both brothers have said they would like to play together once at wimbledon
in the doubles we have world number 1 and 8 in Salisbury and Skupski and Jamie just outside top 20 but they don't really fit as pairings think Jamie and Skupski tried it on tour for a few months Skupski and Salisbury Teamed up for Davis cup last year not sure about the ATP cup
i actually love the format of doubles nowadays with 40-40 next point is winner

Kyle Edmund is possibly playing mixed doubles next week at Wimbledon.
https://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/news/articles/2022-06-22/around_the_grounds_big_names_out_in_force.html
British tennis fans will be pleased to hear Kyle Edmund is back on the road to recovery after a second knee surgery and was spotted returning from Aorangi alongside coach Colin Beecher.
Many will remember Edmund’s run to the last four at the 2018 Australian Open before those knee problems forced him off the Tour.
The 27-year-old plans to play the mixed doubles at The Championships this year – it would be his first match of any kind since late 2020 – before playing on the Challenger Tour and a potential return to Grand Slam singles action in New York in late August.

i am assuming he still has a protected ranking that will get him into some bigger events after he has warmed up in some challenger tour events in-fact he will likely even need invites into the challenger events this he is about 400 in world at moment

Think if he plays a couple of challengers on his protected ranking and plays well, he can then play a couple more on his new ranking and not waste his protected ranking on too many challenger events. Assume he'll get a few wildcards from UK events too, so his ranking won't be so low for long.

Dan evans graph on bf is worth a look for a laugh. Someone has fat fingered ages ago and got nearly a grand on him at EVENS! to lift the trophy. Might be able to break even cashing out 2-0 up in the final 2 weeks on sunday.

Can't help but keep an eye on the Canadian players....
Bianca Andreescu had a knee operation after an injury in 2021. She's only just started playing tournaments this year after a long layoff. Nonetheless, she's playing the final of the WTA Bad Homburg Open on grass on Sunday. Yes, she got a walkover vs Simona Halep, but she's hot favourite for the final against Garcia tomorrow. She's not dropped a set in her three matches (Swann and Kasatkina were two of her opponents), and I think she's currently overpriced at 22/1 foe Wimbledon. If she wins tomorrow, that price will be gone.

She was a great player, but seems to have lost her way a bit up until last week. Hasn't got beyond the first round at Wimbledon and never won on grass. Not sure Swan is much of a test. I'd expect her to do better this time, but wouldn't want to be taking 22/1, but you can get 33/1.
Raducanu has had a bit of a bad draw. I think of her as a top 30/40 player who got lucky right now. She doesn't want to be playing someone of about that level who is bang in form on grass. Hope she wins, but isn't favourite and shouldn't be. I fear for the pasting she is going to get if she loses on social media. Don't know if I'll be up to watch it, guess it depends on how long today's PLO8 lasts.
I assume it is on TV here, but sports I have watched include coyote shooting (seriously wtf?) and air hockey. btw the girl who was shooting live coyotes was massively excited to kill a couple, and let the viewers know how beautiful they were after killing them. Now if they were squirrels or cats I could be persuaded... Am kind of hopeful that there is a conservation reason for killing coyotes, but didn't hang round to find out. Flicked over to watch some big upping of Putin on Fox News. Wish I'd bought my laptop... am such a mug.
