Amari Cooper in four games with the Dallas Cowboys:
- 32 targets
- 22 catches
- 349 yards
- 3 touchdowns
- 3 wins

main benefit seen in Zeke's rushing production accelerating with one less man in the box to defend the run and a proper receiving target for defenses to respect

early days but working out well

Mack has been a fantastic trade for the Bears

possibly going to lead tomore active in-season trade markets going forward

Saints +10 in turnover differential during 10-game win streak, allowing an average of 12.6 PPG in last three games.

Elite offense now complemented by stingy defense

Any chance this is a hot streak, target than a reflection of where the team is? I've got more confidence in Rams and KC for longevity and as an offense (even without noting Brees's age).

At best, they've got this year and next, but who's to say the window is open even that long?

Cooper trade works out for both teams. Mack should in theory too, particularly if the Raiders get Nick Bosa in the draft.

Saints window has to be shorter (though Bridgewater might be the best back up QB in the league?)

but the defense is much more reliable than the Rams.

so are the team to beat in the NFC i think this season

in practice how many windows are open that long anyway?. Belichek and Brady is an outlier 10-15 years

once Mahomes, Goff etc are off their rookie deals and paid as franchise quarterbacks then the offensive rosters around them under a salary cap are going to be weaker

Teams are finding ways of extending the window. Schemes and systems mean you can find players who fit more easily, which is what Belichick started (at least for the modern era). This enables teams to pay a small number of stars and then rotate the rest in and out.

The Rams lost Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds was able to do 90% of the job immediately. What you can't do is build the offense around people, which is a mistake lots of teams have made in the past, because they get expensive at the same time and you can't keep them all.

Seattle have done that to an extent with their defense, but they've overpaid in too many other areas to allow them to do what they need to in order to compete for honours.

There is no doubt they have looked much better with Cooper in the team but last night is going to be a big outlier that’s made those stats look far better.

Don't think we're going to get Bosa.

The win against the Cards last week means we're getting pick 3 based on strength of schedule. 49ers are 1 and Cards are 2. One of them is taking Bosa.

anyone watch last night?

Huge Thursday Night Football TV numbers last night: 14.6 overnight translates to the top overnight rating in "Thursday Night Football" history.

Cowboys got the rub of the green on a few calls. That defense though, developing fast. Laid down the big hits especially Jaylon and Van der esch at linebacker, going to be a vey combo if fit for 10 years plus

Chiefs release Kareem Hunt

This is massive for who wins the whole thing. Chargers at 16’s is good now.
