I haven't been a Labour supporter but this (open goal) video slots home with ease.

Twiitter full of people with stories along the lines. 'My (insert relative) was critically ill/dying at home and I didn't go and see them, I'm enraged'.

I wouldn't be publishing how callous I am just to make some point about Cummings.

This is an awful post.

What don't you like. Don't just be a hater

The bit calling people callous for following the law. Imagine saying that to someone you know.

Also I wasn't aware the law was somehow optional and it was up to us to pick and choose how we wish to apply it.

The law is optional and if we meditate on it for a second that's patently true. Perhaps callous was over emo,, the general point though was about people high horsing matters based on what they would do.

I recognise the damage drugs do globally and locally and I wouldn't take them because I obey the law. But if people decide to take them Im not going to be outraged even though I think they're misguided and law breakers

So much faux moral indignation around over nothing.

nothing?

in the midst of a pandemic - with the death toll exceeding 55k already - the prime minister hase chosen to tear up hisr own, oft repeated as vital, public health messaging in order to save Dominic Cummings.

That strikes you as nothing?

It really doesn’t bother me much. Make of that what you will, but I retain my view that the throwing up of hands in horror is motivated 100% by envy/malice rather than by any sense that he did something ‘wrong’. The MSM will no doubt keep fanning the flames for a few days more and cleverly worded surveys will inform us that the public believes he should go, or that he should stay.

I don’t much care whether he goes or stays either.

I think he should go and I probably did, (at least metaphorically) throw my hands up in horror.

I object to your interpretation of my motivation.

It's interesting

If by malice you are referring to it breaking on leave/remain lines, i think thats incorrect. Iain Dale, Tim Montgomerie and Julia Hartley Brewer are amongst leading leave commentators who would like him to go and said so publically yesterday.

If you are referring to Tory/Non tory lines, i think thats incorrect too. 8 Tory MPs have so far called on him to go including several members of the ERG

Clearly he has rubbed a lot of peopple up the wrong way over time, so when he does cock up then cabinet apart he doesn't have "independent2 commentators to fall back on in bulk

I don't think envy (why?) or malice (reasoning as above) come into it

This is about truth and trust, not leave and remain or Conservative/Labour. IMO.

Regardless of everything else, he's a fucking idiot if he thought he could go gallivanting around the UK at the present time and not get collared. Some boy, if he does get away with it, though.

Annoying, but I'm beginning to think I have some kind of problem as I don't get myself getting agitated/surprised about much, even after 3 months on lockdown. Maybe it's because we know they're almost all lying sacks of shit, anyway.

However, I will throw my hands up and go mad in here, because Glenn might not get to see it if I do it on Twitter Wink

I wonder what proportion of cabinet ministers hand over their twitter passwords to the Party machine and don’t really know what is posted?

The most shameful performance of any Prime Minister in my lifetime.
