Not sure why he's doing that, but possibly he may be trying to attract the attention of one of the loveliest members of the press, Mr Phil Heald of AWOP.

Take The Count!

Here are some assorted counts as the action hots up here in the Vic.

Maz Nawab - 100k. Despite coming back with just 11k and feeling a bit poorly Maz has stormed back into contention here, last seen check raising Martin Green all-in and being rewarded with a pass.

Excellent work sir!

Robin Keston - 135k. A good day for Robin, though he is below the zenith his stack reached earlier of 200k or so...

Chris Moorman - 105k
Chris has steadied himself after a bad start that saw his stack fall to half its initial size.

Last seen chopping a pot with William Martin, showing down A-5 on an A-A-T-T-x board (Martin had the same hand.) He was berated by a tablemate for raising with A-5. "Look at that A-5 nice raising hand...and you always hit!" he lamented as Chris defended his play..."Any ace mate!"

Jim Moult - 90k. Recently doubled up his shortstack courtesy of Jeff Duvall. Didn't see where the chips went in but a board of x x seemed to fit his much better than Jeff's A-J...

Fran Egan - 35k. The Terminator has yet to mangle anyone with his titanium arms but is still in with a fighting chance of success.

Mclovin
Gary Clarke - 60k "I just want action Rod! Nothing's happening!" said Gary, in the midst of the firestorm that has seen close to half the field already eliminated.

Martin Green -120k The save the green campaign seems to have give the scampy Scouser a new breath of life and he is looking good at this point...

One player listed as having chips who doesn't really is Peter Wood - Eirik Svanes just took his last 30k or so bumping the young Scandie up to around 180,000.

Wood raised on the button to 6k, Svanes repopped him from the small blind and he went for it for his remaining 22k or so.  He held vs. Svanes' .  A disappointed Wood watched the board dodge all his cards and then launched into a defense of his actions on camera with Raab right next to the table.  "I did the right thing," he said, "Once I bet, I really had to call.  Would I do the same thing again?  Yes.  I can live with that."

Maybe Matusow put a word in for him after his massive lay-down at the WSOP

nice job by the roving reporter

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
