Henderson is a big miss. Allen doing well for 60 minutes, but then running out of steam. Lucas still not up to speed and has been rushed back into the side because of the absence of Henderson.
Need a big game from both of them next Sunday.

Need both of them for next season, as Lucas can do a decent job when (assuming we will) rest Stevie for some league games when CL games are midweek.
Draw 28 August. Final in Berlin, 6/6/15.

Wow. More injuries than goals tonight. Perfect night.
Chelsea still in tie. Cech out for season. JT doubtful for 2nd leg.
So will they even risk Schzwer?
Midfield will be strong- mikel/lamps/salah/matic
But a good night for us.

If Liverpool can have Steve there for four or five years, then they'll win the Premier League.

Great shout. Article was in May 2013!! And he seems to have worked great with Suarez, who seems more, shall we say, in control"!

Mourinho has come out and said that he is going to field a second string side against us on Sunday - provided that he has the support of the club to do so.
Be interesting to see how it lines up on Sunday - even a weakened Chelsea XI is plenty dangerous. Definitely good news that Cech and Terry are out of contention, though. Sturridge and Suarez can cause some carnage if we can win the midfield battle.

I reckon he's bluffing and is fos, I don't believe he's giving up on the title and just wants to make a dramatic moan about the game being on Sunday.

Whether he is bluffing or not, he's definitely without Cech and Terry. Which is surely a blow for a team that has to attack us at Anfield.

For Chelsea to win the title they need to beat us, and for us to lose to Palace or Newcastle, aswell as City to lose at least 1 game. Not sure even he believes both scenerios could happen?
Certainly gives him fuel to throw at us and the FA for not moving to Saturday. The spanish FA did, but he hasnt me tion that Ath this weekend are also playing Sunday/Wednesday, so no real advantage.
He should be pleased he isnt in the title race as much as Ath are because Ath cant rest players, chelsea have the luxury to do so if they wish.
With the money they've spent over the last 2/3 years, you would think they've buily a squad which can cope with 2 games a week!

Still a strong side for sure;
Midfield will likely to be - salah, lamps, mikel, matic. That aint bad!

Jose mind games innit.
Don't matter which team he picks , they certainly are not going to roll over and we will have to play bloody well to win.
