Rumour alert (all over my twitter)

Fernando Torres is apparently in Inter's hotel in Barcelona (at 2:40 to be exact), sparking rumours about a meeting over a transfer.

enjoy!

...or maybe he's talking to Jose about the Liverpool job?

Oh - and did that story come out about Gerrard in the papers at the weekend as the rumours suggested?

Played well tonight.  A few more performances like that during the season and we'd have got a lot more out of the season.

Good luck Fulham in the final.

I cant belive it counts as an away goal when it's impossible for LIV to get a extra 30 mins over there!

I had a LIV/FUL dbl.........return!

The arguement is that it evens itself out. Liverpool play an extra 30 at home but that advantage is removed by the fact that away goals still count.
I'd probably scrap away goals all together if i could.

I think most teams would prefer to have the second leg at home, so they're in front of their home fans and they know what result they need to win the tie.

The problem for Liverpool was that they didn't score in Madrid.  Once it goes to extra-time, we know that if they score there's little time to get two.  Fortunately we scored first so we only needed one if they scored against us.  We simply weren't good enough over the two legs, and the lack of strength in depth was plain to see at the end.  We rely on players like Gerrard to dig us out, and unfortunately he hasn't been close to his imperious best this year and the last 20 minutes of normal time and the whole of extra-time pretty much summed up his season.  Without Torres we have no world-class finisher.  Kuyt's good, Aquilani will prove to be a good signing, and Benayoun was fantastic I thought.  But we ran out of steam.  At least we get another go at it next season Sad

So we can definitely count on you beating Chelsea on Sunday?

I wouldn't count on us to beat an egg at the moment.

You just make sure you lose to Sunderland tomorrow, so I can cheer Liverpool on properly on Sunday Cheesy

Bugger.  That ruins my enjoyment of the Liverpool game then.

Oh, it's the everton game that's on Saturday.  If they lose then we don't have to beat Chelsea.  That's what I was thinking, I think.
