A) Coutinho stays (helping Frimino's purchase) and £40m to spend

or

B) Stirling stays and £25m to spend by selling Coutinho and no Firmino coming

I'm in camp A and it's not even close.

TBF looking back at least season they both played important parts in the results we got in roughly the same amount of games. Coutinho got more assists (without diving as much) but Raheem got more goals.

Liverpool were constantly looking to Sterling to win games basically on his own last season. Yeah Coutinho was good last season but there is no doubt Sterling was 'pools most important player.

I know who I'd rather have if it was a choice between those two.

Yes, Liverpool looked to Sterling to help them win matches towards the end of last season - and he simply did not deliver. He's certainly not a natural goal-scorer, so playing him as the one to score goals was a mistake, and a job he wasn't up to.

He's obviously a fantastic talent, and there's loads of potential there. Not yet the finished article though, and I think Milner offers more to Liverpool than Sterling did. A reflection on both Sterling and Liverpool.

As for Benteke, wouldn't have been my first choice, but he's a decent striker. Let's hope he becomes the Belgian Andy Johnson (for those who remember Nem's analysis of Torres when he signed for Liverpool).

good impressionist, his rodgers is very good.

unoriginal material, a rehash of many twitter memes over the summer, saw the jokes coming 5 seconds before he delivered them.

Thought the geezer was funny first time I saw him doing Rodgers.

But since then, every clip has pretty similar. Should have stopped while he was ahead.

rickie lambert scores 2 goals for WBA in under an hour that's as many goals as he scored for Liverpool in the whole season

ok its just a preseason friendly but that's what can happen if you give a goal scorer the ball

Looks ok.    Would imagine Origi perhaps instead of Ibe.
