Sigh. Losing the plot here, big time.
Sharplea just popped in to see me - the WSOP $1,500 PLO is WEDNESDAY, not Tuesday.
So I could play both Binions $220 PLO on Tuesday, & the WSOP $1,500 on Wednesday.
And there was me thinking I could find an excuse to swerve the $1,500. The Poker Gods are on my case big time.

Wish I knew about all these ailments before staking. So far we have dodgy mince pies where you can't see the board unless sat in seat 6, forgetfulness, dithering and now this wtf neuralgia!! Admittedly I knew about the dithering. We seemed to be pretty well screwed either way so I'd just play the bracelet event. Perhaps eat some betroot and wear a superman t-shirt??

Today, it's this......
http://www.binions.com/pdf/tournaments/2015/poker_classic/eventC.pdf
Look at that juice - $180 + $40. Yikes.
You will be spared Live Updates today, for better or worse, as Binions does not have Wifi, or never has in previous years, despite years of "yes, we'll have it next year".
Love Binions though, for all it's decrepitude. The place is a health hazard, doubt there's a worse cardroom on earth, but I love it there. It's all about character, characters, the Dealers, the players, especially the mid-American or Texan players.
They have a valet ("cocktail waitress") there, been there as long as I've been going. She's 70 if she is a day, & wears a mini skirt & a 70's "bob" hair do. She might just be the best valet in the world, too. Before she goes on break, she comes & sees us all, to make sure we know she will be absent, & to top up our drinks before we go.
I know many people like the scantily clad young nubile DTD Valets, & yes, they are very nice, I'm sure, but I find it slightly offensive & demeaning, I never know where to look when they serve me. I'll settle for the Binions lass I think. Proper Mumsy, she is.

You know of her? 29 years, serving arsey poker players. She deserves a Medal.
I'll wager that Methuselah & Red-Dog know her, too.

Thanks David.
Can't deny I'm disappointed with results so far.
I've doubtless made a mistake or two, missed a few spots maybe, but generally, I think I've played OK. (We always do think that though, don't we?). I've got into several wonderful spots for double ups - that Top Set & nut flush draw yesterday, v 9 high (well he did have a lovely draw, all the way up to be fair) seems to typify it. Had THE most amazing draw in the $3,000 PLO8 too, for a likely 2xup from 18,000, barely a bad card in the deck for me. Barely....
Over time, these all even out of course. Hopefully, before we come home.
I played some Big O Cash, too, & a geezer made an incred call, he had a flush draw with 2-3, & I had Aces on a J-J-Q flop. (There was no low possible). "Run it twice?" he says, "yeah, OK" I say, thinking I'm being generous. He hit his flush both times, lol.
I've had some nice bits of run good, too, no mistake, but at the wrong times.
I can handle it, it's the beauty of the game, but I do feel a weight of expectation from my Stakers, even though everyone has been very kind.
Plenty time yet, starting today.
I have decided I will play the $1,500 WSOP PLO tomorrow after some prompt dithering this morning. It was easily my most depressing tourney of last year, I exited before Level 2 ended, oucho. Think I'll skip the $3,000 WSOP PLO 6-Max though, unless we bink big before then. Think I'd might just be the value in that.
There's also a $1,100 PLO8 @ Venetian on Saturday, & a $1,500 WSOP PLO8 still to play, as well as a bunch of bits & bobs Downtown.
All good.
