Of course.

Here she is.

I'm not sure if it is true, but I'm told she is 70, & has worked at Binions for 29 yeas, she confirmed the latter to me yesterday.

She may well be younger, I don't know, but whatever her real age, it's rare to see a woman of such maturity looking so good in a mini skirt, and I'm not talking sex appeal, just "nice".  She has great posture, wonderful manners & people skills, & has had a hair makeover since I last saw her. Nothing is too much trouble for her.

Real people doing their job well, with pride in the job, & themselves - love it.

I'll be amazed if Ralph & Tom, who have not been to Vegas for a few years, don't remember her.

I certainly remember her and the other slightly younger waitress with shortish blonde hair who worked at Binions for ages but transferred across the road to The Nugget seven or eight years ago.

Binions also has my favourite Vegas dealer, the older black guy about our age with a build and a voice like Barry White. Ever so laid-back but rarely if ever makes a mistake and never takes any shizzle off anyone. Often heard to say "you de man" when the action is on you.

Short of time this morning - as per, so a brief update on yesterday.

Had a lovely table to start with, but it was a minefield - almost every pot was limped 6 or 7 way. I tried popping it up a few times, & they all called, so I had to be very selective as to position, hands & flops I could continue on.

I just slowly & patiently chipped up to 40,000 (double starting) & then came the big spot. When I have plenty of chips (I know, I know....) I often tend to nit up & try to preserve my stack, so despite my current form, & lack of confidence, I was pleased that I had no hesitation in getting the lot in with my monster, & yay, it held. (Quick "thanks" to Cos who sent me a note which helped my confidence).

So that gave us 80,000, with the average @ 30,000, & it was just a question of a sensible strategy now. I was 100% confident I would final from that moment.

There was one guy in the Final, good kid, but he was just punting every hand blind, & he had nearly half the chips in lay, awesome to see.

Jerome busted first, & there were 3 shorties, including a lad from Germany who never once smiled or spoke despite a raucous atmo.

He doubled up 4 times in a row, including, remarkably, on this flop.....

Mr Got All The Chips held J-J-x-x, whilst Germany held.........6-6-x-x. Yikes.

I had one fortunate full double when I got my K-K-9-10cchh in v, inevitably, Aces, but my danglers housed up.

After that, I was utterly & totally card dead. Q-10-10-9 with 8 Bigs seemed good on a Q high flop (I was in the Blinds, unraised), but my man had top set, so I was in a world of hurt & that was that. I had really thought a top three spot was probable & likely.

Anyway, a drop in class (this was a seller) seemed to work wonders.

There was THE most ferocious argument on the Final Table which lasted 45 minutes. It was over 3,000 chips with Blinds at 3,000-6,000. Wink

I don't know her by name, but remember her from previous years.

I love all the valets downtown, they're much more personable, and most will happily bring shots for the table if asked.

Am feeling a little groggy this morning, not sure why, but I've regged for the WSOP $1,500 PLO which starts at Noon, in just over an hour, Brasilia 33, Seat 7. Gonna have a quick shower now to see if it livens me up, but if I still feel utw, I may withdraw.

Yeh, this, but not sure this is a step down from Binnions.  Saw the worst plays of the summer in the first hour of that 3k plo8.

Good luck Cos

Have elected to play, I feel rather better after a nice shower and a most satisfying bowel evacuation.

Best of luck Tikay.
