He seemed to hit the bus more than it hit him. Maybe he didn't see it?

the difference at the moment is that I'm in the race whereas before I was running away.
Well done - I think the above statement just about captures one of the keys to winning these which it's easy to forget on a bad trot

I plan to try & get up to date with all the questions you've asked that I've yet to answer, but it'll need to wait until Thursday.
For now, though, something completely different..........

I spent most of today at Chili's house, she's helping me "get my house in order" as to my paperwork & stuff. My paperwork has always been looked after by others, PA's at work, then Wendy, but for the last 3 or 4 years, it's just piled up. A fortnight back, I took 4 bags full of paperwork across to Maria, & she filed them all beautifully.
I took across three more box files full today. And in amongst scores, possibly hundreds, of Share Certificates (I take Scrip Divs where possible, so I get a lot of small denom Share Certs), wage slips dating back to the 80's, & all manner of old bills & paraphanelia, there were some old photographs of mine, which Maria was able to scan for me.
I was in a foul mood, as I've had a bad 24 hours. Ho-hum. But amongst those 'photos was a real diamond, & one which cheered me up no end. You cannot begin to imagine the happiness this particular photograph gave me. I took the 'photo myself.
This is a Class 52 Diesel Hydraulic Locomotive, "Western Enterprise", built at BREL Swindon Works in 1961. I have no idea when the picture was taken, but I'd imagine it was around 1962 or 1963.
The Driver is my Dad. I can't tell you how proud I was of him, & he of me. Dad's are the best thing ever invented.
