So Phil makes his grand entrance to the WSOPE ME dressed up as Caesar riding in his chariot and accompanied by a bevy of scantily clad servant-girls.
Unfortunately the chariot could not get to the casino entrance due to the bollards prohibiting vehicular access so our hero has to make his way on foot still acompanied by his bevy of scantily clad maidens but the casino manager would not allow said scantily clad maidens to enter the casino as apparently they had no ID with them; what a spoilsport!
I do hope all of these hiccups did not put our Phil into brat-mode.
I just can't be doing with all that "theatrical entrance" nonsense Ralph, & I don't think it does Poker any food, either.
I don't really blame Hellmuth for indulging in it though. He's easy to mock, but really, he's just a guy, & I don't want to be a Hellmuth-hater. There are many, far closer to home, who deserve my wrath, the nippers & scammers for a start, some of whom are on blonde every day, larging it up.
I think I should not Post too much today. I've slept well for the first time in 2 weeks, & have one of those moods on me where I feel a desire to unburden myself of all sorts of things which, really, are probably best left where they are.
The apathy with which cheaters are treated
is what bothers me most of all, the Hellmuth shennanigans I can deal with, but constantly we see people who are known for being scumbags and....nothing, nothing happens. People accept it when really they shouldn't and poker sites do nothing because seemingly they just want to make money and not be drawn into a fiasco, but at the end of the day keeping poker clean (or at least attempting to) will make more money for everyone in the long term.
Ansky wrote an awesomely eloquent post about this on 2+2 a year or two ago about this and everyone said it was brilliant and should be implemented, then they went back to playing poker.
It's not just apathy, some of them are actually revered on here, lionised even.
It's like there is a current fashion for anti-heroes. I can't be doing with it, I don't want to talk, listen to, or interact with these low-lifes. And I don't.
I think though that can be part of the problem. By just ignoring them and not wanting to deal with them is not that different to being apathetic. Don't get me wrong I'm not being critical of you, I'm pretty much in exact adherence with your opinion, I just wish there was some way the poker community could come together as a whole and clamp down on these people, as much as I prefer ignoring them, this problem can only be tackled with a head-on strategy.
Some of the poker sites are just as problematic, imagine what a great stir it would've caused if Teltscher or JJProdigy had been banned from all Stars hosted live tournaments like the EPT's because of what they did online?

Well I don't think it's necessarily right to out them on poker forums - to their face is better. None of them trouble me these days, as they know the answer they'll get, but I learned the hard way.
I do like your Telscher line though. If the consequences of their actions were far reaching, that'd be so much better. It's quite fun to watch those Banned by certain large organisations try to squirm when they realise the consequences of their actions have been wider than their tiny minds had realised.

Busy busy busy today, with "stuff", but this interested me, so I'm having a 5 minute break.
I was using - as I do every single day, lots of times (& completely free of charge) - the word's must useful & greatest web-gage, the google Home-Page. It's a merciful haven from the clutter of, say, Yahoo, or almost any web-page really, where stuff is crammed into every space. Pure white, eerily & beautifully empty. A serach box in the middle, that's perfect design.
Some days they mess around with the google Logo to bring attention to a current event. Like, today, which celebrates the birth, 2,560 years ago, of Confucius, so the google logo reflects it visually.
It made me look up Confucius, to see a few of his much-revered sayings. He was some clever geezer - take a look at a few - there are hundreds of them.
Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.
Be not afraid of mistakes, & thus make them crimes.
Everything has its beauty, bit not everyone sees it.
Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do.
The cautious seldom err.
When anger rises, think of the consequences.
Top stuff.

As you know, I'm a great fan of quotes & sayings etc. Confucius was a Bobby Dazzler.

Yes, I like that. It's obvious, really, but few realise it.

google know - or know a man who knows - everything.
Their original mission statement was to organise the world's informatuion so that every person on the planet can access it. They've run into a storm or two along the way - digitizing all the world's important books being one of them - but they are doing just fine.
I imagine they did what everyone else did as to Confucius' d-o-b - "best-informed guess".

This is particularly good advice.
If the person you're looking for revenge against is important.
He'll probably have a bodyguard you'll need to take care of as well.
