Tikay, when staying at the Rio,
specifically
ask not to be in the Masquerade Tower. Trust me.

Well, it's 2am, & I need to get to bed, tomorrow I have things to do.
Then, in the evening, an 1,800 runner Freeroll - "TKO III", in which Team tikay are 2-0 down, best of 5. It's HUGE fun, just banter, & marketing genius. I wish I'd thought of it.
Wednesday, it's Studio from Noon until 7pm, doing 4 recorded Shows, including the rejuvenated "Club". Then, in the evening, the "tikay Sleepstack" which is, would you believe, a slow-structured sleepathon. Amazing how the "tikay" name has been used by SP to such effect.
Thursday & Friday in the office, Luton Friday night I expect, & I'll take the weekend off & go play the DTD £100's.
Monday, rinse repeat. Working man, me.

Not had time to peruse the blonde threads, apart from "that" thread, truncated now from the ghastly revelations of the last 48 hours, & Rob Yong's thread. He writes so well, so clear, so honest.
We will spend a bit of time together in Vegas, & we are working together on a few things.
I read, of course, Rob's utterings, & Mick McCool's blog, with equal & suitably wide-eyed agogness.
We do live in a strange world.

But the role is wider - much wider - than that, & in so many ways.
On friday I learned that I had got the Sky Poker WSOP gig in Vegas. That'll be 6 years in 7 that someone has paid for me to go out to Vegas. And I LOVE working in Vegas, if you work in poker, Vegas is the dream. I run so good.
Premium Economy flights - me! - & a suite at The Rio again. Jeez, I can barely believe my luck.
And I bet I can make my Twitter effective during the WSOP, when I can use my "Access All Areas" Pass to get tableside. If I fail at that, I may as well give up, it should be a shoe-in.
I loved the tikay Twitter Avatars on blonde. No, I did, I was made up. I'm not sure how it was intended, but I took it as kind of nice.
Before that, wearing my TSP Hat, I wll be at Coventry GUKPT with one of "my" lads, & SPT Glasgow ditto, & at DTD this weekend with a bunch of "my" boys.
On April 25th, I go down to Brighton for a National Pub League Final at Brighton Racecourse. "Guest of Honour", you could not make it up. But I'll do some commentating, & I bet they have a good day. And part of the deal is that they have to "follow me" on Twitter & FB. See, I'm getting the hang of it. Oh - they have 30,000 Members......And I shall have a SP goodie or two with me. It will work.
Catch you on the 25th?

I mean avoid staying in whichever tower that's next to that bloody show in the sky that goes off every hour. It will have you tearing your hair out.

Exciting stuff Tikay, congrats on the success of your career, it sounds like you earn it. A brief and mildly disturbing story from my own job which occured last night. I'm the manager of a health club and so have a host of weird and wonderful stories collected over the years, but last night's is a new entry that goes straight into the top 10.
It was about 15 minutes before the club closed and I find myself milling about on reception saying cheerio to members who are leaving after their workouts when this chap walks in and says he would like to use the sunbeds. You can use the sunbeds if you're a non-member so I sell him a session with the warning that we're closing shortly. About 20 mins later all the staff come back to the counter saying they've done all the checks and the club's empty so we're ready to go. But WAIT, I've been standing on reception the whole time and I don't remember sunbed guy leaving. So I send the staff round the club again. They come back having checked everywhere and nothing. Shit, but I know this guy hasn't left....
So I start searching the club with the rest of the team. We get into the gents changing rooms and I ask if anybody has checked the plant room in the showers where all the water pumps are. Nobody has. To access the plant room you open a door and you're greeted by a long concrete corridor which turns at a sharp right angle at the end. I open the door and immediately see wet footprints all the way down the corridor. It was such a creepy sight. I shout out "Is there anybody down there?"...no reply...but there is audible shuffling...so somebody is down there. Obviously somebody has to go and take a look. I turned around to my staff for a volunteer but they're already backing away mumbling about job descriptions. So gingerly I edge down this long moody corridor with my heart thumping unsure of what I'm gonna find down there. I eventually reach the end of the corridor and turn the corner at the end...and there is sunbed man...wearing nothing but black french frilly knickers, a black lacy bra and black stockings. What the hell is that all about???

The dude was dripping wet. He said he'd taken a cold shower after his sunbed because he was all hot and flustered. He wasn't the only one all hot and flustered I can tell you.
