Ate you referring to Mansell?
If so, not surpriseed he is loaded, he is notoriously tight with his money, but he must have earned a fortune judging by this snippet from Wiki.....
"....In 1994 Mansell made a Formula One comeback. After the untimely death of Ayrton Senna, he returned to Formula One with Williams, replacing young rookie David Coulthard for the French Grand Prix and the last three races of the season. Mansell was paid approximately £900,000 per race, compared to Williams's lead driver at the time, Damon Hill being paid £300,000 for the entire season....."
That was 17 years ago!
Jeez, mbn to have talent.

Did you get to see any of the Mosconi cup on sky this weekend from Vegas
got to say Matchroom always put on a show.
Quality the bits I saw. Never gonna be as good without Earl causing trouble but then Rodney Morris filled his boots. Morris has played this a few times and I never remember him being quite so 'animated'.
yes taking Appleton outside would have been com. Darren got a leathering up at a pool tourney i played at Reighton Sands one year. his brother organised a yorkshire poker league that one of my mates won think girgy may have played it.
I watched most of the Mosconi Cup. Think that the yanks have become soo aggro because they keep losing. Morris well past his best and very surprised that Hatch didn't get picked.
Darren seems to stoke up most of 'em. Probs been taking all their money.

Went to a private function last night, to “celebrate” the retirement of a special friend, a Senior Exec @Sky Sports.
It was held at this rather odd place, an eatery, Private Members Club, & Hotel, on Chiswick High Road…..
http://brasserie.highroadhouse.co.uk/
Whilst waiting to be ticked off the Guest List, I heard the Receptionist fielding a ‘phone enquiry for a room in the Hotel – “yes, we have 2 room sizes, “small”, & “tiny””. Bet she’s right, too.
You really are moving in celeb circles ......
owned by Nick Jones (married to Kirsty Young), of the glamorous and no doubt highly successful, Soho House group.
http://www.sohohouse.com/
He bought it a few years ago (allegedly with Chiswick's own Ant and Dec as investors), from a Italian called Mr. Foubert, who owned and ran the premises as an Italian Cafe/Ice cream palour, with a dodgy night club /wine bar in the basement. It has been there since the late 1970's/early 80's, and although the ice cream was some of the best in London, the whole building was pretty scruffy/rundown and stuck in a 25 year time warp.
Given its prime location and size on the high road, rumour has it Foubert sold it for million or two,.....and then rather than go and lie on a Barbados beach, he promptly open up a "mini Fouberts" around the corner!...and still serves his delicious Italian ice cream.

When Mansell was on Top Gear to do his lap in the reasonably priced car, they said he turned up in his jet to get a proper view of the track and was out there for hours before getting in the car.

Soho House is like a rabbit warren when you get inside it - narrow staircases and passageways with annoying low beams.
The do an awesome breakfast spread though - fantastic sausage sandwiches.

Think I may have become almost infatuated during the function, when I was introduced to Annabel Croft by a mutual friend, & she made me feel special, & we chatted for a good 30 minutes. She really is gorgeous, in every way, not an ounce of spare flesh on her, &
mentally, as sharp as a tack.
...or maybe not?

Tikay here are a load of aviation videos for you to watch on a cold winters day,I particularly like the 146 landing a London City and the last video of the Russian plane crash is pretty amazing when you realise it's the crew speaking and they are not dead.
http://www.alexisparkinn.com/aviationVideos.shtml
Kept me up half the night watching those - thank you! (A few do not work, but most did).
That 757 short-field take off - from a standing start to take off in 12 seconds flat!
I was at work on the day of the last take-off of Concorde from Heathrow so we parked the van by the side of the runway to watch.Normally it would take most of the runway to leave the ground due to noise restrictions etc but on this day the pilot just hammered it,full afterburners all the way sod the byelaws. It took off like a rocket,it's wheels left the ground right in front of us and the noise was incredible, some of the guys on my shift had worked on it the whole time it was in service with BA and many a grown man stiffled back the tears.

I'd settle for 2 out of 3 maximum.

Ooh, good spot, Dave! If it were, he'd be a Freeroll player.
The thread got snap closed by the suits, sadly, & now seems to have disappeared completely.

tbf, although I agree completely with the MVP shouts and would probably have been my father Christmas, I think he is the opposite of what blonde is and how it acts.
Lol. Can someone translate this post for me, I have no idea what it means.
Happy days, I did not want to be the first to ask!
There's alot of little cliques everywhere on the forum, just like any forum. People who have became friends because of the forum or joined the forum because their friends are on it, natural.
For example, I saw The Nun had commented on the thread and knew straight away it would be Cos, Stu Hopkin or EvilPie. We have team Eureka who will comment on everything each other do and post religiously in Alex's diary. We have yourself who will comment every time Red Dog is mentioned in any single post. The list goes on... Within most of these cliques there is little things that everybody knows, I guarantee that 50% of the forum don't know what happened with Colcehster Kev even though 10% of the forum remain supportive in their signatures, I know that 90% of the forum won't know about that thing that happened with that guy last year that I can't talk about. There is other things that certain people know and others don't.
With Cos he doesn't have his "crew" or select individuals that he favours, he is on good terms and has the respect of people from all ages, backgrounds, sexes, religions, educations etc etc, he's very unique, very nice, lots of other verys but I wouldn't say he summed up what Blonde was, maybe what it should be or what we want it to be.
Probably still doesn't make sense.
I could reply to much of that, but this thread is not really the time or place to have that debate, feel free to stick it on my Diary, or anywhere else, but let's keep the thread as intended, please.
Thanks.
i understand exactly what pleno means here and maybee it ought to be debated ........in a pleasant manner
