Unlucky mate, GG.

And howdy Master Bates!

On the plus side a $10-$25 Big O table has got going in the cash game room. Just re-count the money from the money exchange 25 times and you will have a full free buy in.

Wink

Had another cracking session of Big O cash last night (Saturday night) playing from 10pm until 6am non-stop. Never had so much fun.

Pulled up a total of $1,000 (2 x $500), then lost it all bar $120 in a $3,000+ pot when my broadway nuts got rivered when the board paired.

Spent the next 6 hours spinning the $120 back up before quitting at 6am.

Cashed in for $993, & positively skipped up the corridor, as it felt like I had won $1,000.

It was not until I got back to the room that I realised in fact I had lost $7 on the night, & spent 8 hours doing so.

Huge fun, but hardly crushing.

No more Big O cash now until Wednesday of next week earliest, as I won't be playing cash whilst Gill is here.

Really enjoyed the PLO8 tonight, too, but Levels 4, 5 & 6, where I fell behind the count, eventually proved my undoing, & I exited early in Level 10.

Was really good to share a table with Flushy, & we clashed a few times.

OK, best do some work.

Another decent run Tony, I'm sure you'll connect with a decent cash soon.

They used to have really comfortable chairs for the cash-games at The Venetian but the tourney ones were terrible, glad to hear they've upgraded them.

....you should have brought a piece of flushy on your exit. Some bloody professional staked player you are FFS.

Sounds like you are having a blast though. Hope you enjoy some quality time with your better half as well now (Gill, not Jeeves).

Once again, I really wish I was there.

Hi tikay, just read your blog and can tell you that in Dover (just down the road from Folkestone) it is currently a reasonable 19 degrees Celsius. I'm sure you're glad to hear that... I am still longing for the sun of Vegas - it already seems so long ago! I hadn't heard of Adam Owen - it is good to know we can produce some good players down here Smiley

We went up to Mt Charlston early this morning, & I spotted this beauty.

I've no idea if it is a moth, or a butterfly, but I do know it was the biggest bugger I've ever seen by a long chalk - it's wingspan was a good 6".

If there are any butterflyologists or merthologists amongst our readers, any idea what it is?

It's a moth, you can tell by the feather-like antennae, butterflies have straight antennae.

Will need some google-fu to find what species.

Take a light, apparently. Heard the PH cardroom is very dark.

I'll try and get over to PH tomorrow if I can, dependent on the 2-7 finishing.

Tal is the PH expert, last time I played there he outlasted me by some distance.

My recollection was that the room was very dark, & the music very LOUD. That apart, it was fine.

I railed that 2-7 for a while tonight. Think it has a good few hours play remaining.

Sigh. I didn't spot you. Have your cash here as well.
