I used the inhalers as well when I gave up. I got them free from the chemist at two packs a week (100 refills) which was an insane amount. I went through them at a ridiculous rate but still had plenty left. After a few weeks I got weaned off and just used the empty inhaler when I felt the urge - particularly at the break in tournaments. I realised I had lost it a couple of months after and that was that.
Anyway, it might be worth getting something to replace the physical habit when you get an urge, as so many little things that you do are probably associated with "then I'll have a ciggy"- and I guarantee 100% the gremlins will be telling you that "you've done so well, so now you're in Vegas, you deserve a few cigs, it's only for the hols......."

What a great read that is - that thought has already crossed my mind repeatedly.

It can't have been 08. By 08 I was playing full time cash at DTD and you had given up NLHE.

Sorry to seem like I'm arguing for the sake of it, but I believe you are incorrect.
You were still playing the circuit in 2008, with cashes at the likes of Walsall, Luton and Blackpool.

And I had not given up NLHE in 2008, I was still playing, with cashes in Brighton, Blackpool, Luton & Nottingham. I was still playing NLHE in 2009, too, with cashes in Brighton, Luton & Nottingham, & in 2010 & 2011 I had NLHE cashes in Southend, Luton and Nottingham. So I could not have quit NLHE in 2008.
It was 2012 (amazingly, that's 5 years ago now) that I moved across to PLO & PLO8.

Can confirm I was in Brighton with tikay in 2009, and remember him after that picture^^^^^ which was outside the Venetian, in 2011, playing regularly in Luton still, The year I got half a flight in premium for free, as I told the air hostess I wanted to go up and check my grandad was ok

Another way to disprove that is to remind ourselves when DTD first opened - 28th November 2007.
So it could not have been 2008 when you first started playing cash full time at DTD, as DTD had been open a goodly while before you did that.
You used to bellyache non-stop about the music at DTD whilst playing cash, too. That would have been 2010/2011 at a guess.

Ha, that's true.
We had breakfast together in Café Rouge before the flight (window seat overlooking the apron, obv), & then I went to my PE seat & you all went off to cattle. I had the added luxury of an empty seat next to me, too, so it was perfect. And then you turned up.

I don't recall ever seeing you use your dummy at DTD (though you spat it out a good few times over the music).
However, let's remember that DTD never opened until the very end of November 2007, and it was Spring 2008 before they got their regular schedule established.

I gave up 2008, so it must've been a bit before then.
