Hey Tikay

Well "tikay" at least beats that ridiculous "Teacake" that some idiots call me.

And if I'd known you read this, I could have asked the "finger question" here. Not that I give a shit.

I was musing...

I happen to know that you like a little food with your salt. How does that fit in with your recent lifestyle changes?

I was musing...

I happen to know that you like a little food with your salt. How does that fit in with your recent lifestyle changes?

Impeccable timing, Tom.

Been told to cut out salt completely. Pfft.

Had to go with it though, no choice apparently. As you know, I like a bit of food with my salt.

As chance has it, I had an appointment with a Dietician of all things yesterday. Who even knew there was such a thing? (Except celtic, obv).

At my previous Hossie apt, I was asked how my recovery was going, & I told them "not great". Nothing wrong with me as such, just don't feel at all right these days.

My How-Do-I Feel-Ometer, which measures my pep, energy, enthusiasm, zing & zest has always been a 9/10 jobbie, but of late, it's been 3/10 at best. And its both physical & mental. I've never felt "down" before, but I have bad days now. (See what I mean, moan moan moan?). And I get fearfully grumpy without good reason far too easily. My weight has got out of control, too. And I'm lethargic, apathetic, & got acute cantbearsedness, part of which might be due to my ballooning weight.

So, I was referred to the Dietician, which is pretty ridic really, I am at that age where the last thing I need is to be lectured on common sense by some 25 year old fresh out of Uni with the posh job title of "Community Dietician".

Anyway, she gave me a list of do's & don'ts, which included;

I should eat breakfast every day - ideally Greek Yoghourt with fresh fruit.

I have never once eaten breakfast at home for over 60 years, though when I go away I always treat myself to a Full English if staying in a hotel. So maybe 10 mornings per year in my life I have brekkie, now I have to have it every bloody day. How's that gonna help me lose weight, ffs?

Include "one veg you like" with every meal.

I don't like ANY veg, so that's easy.....

Gradually add one veg per meal per week for a month.

I mean, seriously, wtf?

I just can't manage Veg, but I'm gonna try a bit of salad - maybe a lettuce leaf per day, drowned in Salad Cream.

She said "no, not Salad Cream, try balsamic vinegar".

Balsamic vinegar? WTF is that? Don't mind a bit of Sarsons, but blowed if I am gonna eat foreign sounding shite.

Go to where they sell those bottles of salad dressing in your local supermarket and you will find a range of "Newman's Own".

I can highly recommend the Newman's Own balsamic vinegar sald dressing - it's been a staple of mine for years as I enjoy it with avocado pears.

Speaking of avocado pears, they might possibly be a vegetable which both you can tolerate and the dietician approves.

Definitely looks like she sticks a leg out to trip him, and he just drops his shoulder into her.. He can't know there's a bus coming to nearly take her head off, can he? One of those split second decisions that can change/ruin lives forever.
