could you manage a reraise

or would it just be a case of a 'bad flop'? and you would have to fold.

Best to get out of there pre-flop rather than being disappointed about what's in your hand later on.

Kin, do you mean you prefer to get it in 'the muck' before the flop?

It might be best to hit the flop hard and then get it all-in.  Sometimes though, you have to bluff, stick it in without a hope and just cross your fingers and pray that no one looks you up.

A good shuffle can help improve the texture of the flop.

There was much sadness in chez Dana & Jen last week, when Persopolis (sp?) passed away.

Persopolis was the Cat, & was a bit of a character, to put it mildly, & the whole household revolved around Pers. Both Dana & Jen were very upset.

But Jen has a way with words, maybe it's just me that's attracted to her quirky & inventive use of language, but even in the sorrow, as we dicussed it, I could barely suppress a smile when this exchange between Jen & myself went down.

Me (awkwardly, as you do), "err, what did it, umm, die of, like, you know, anything in particular, was it, err, umm, ill, or what?".

Jen - "No, it died of old".

Thanks for the sympathy (says Jen on Floppy's laptop) - Persephone (although Persepolis a better name, actually) was simply ancient, but it's weird how a longstanding pet makes you either happy or unhappy depending on whether it's still alive.  I blame her for sending me into intoxicated tilt online the next day.  So true that old proverb "You shouldn't play when in distress."  I hope the recipients of my money are happy, though.  Hope your raises through Dave Smith have more luck in future.

Sky Feltham, Wednesday 12th March

Compo won "The Daddy"? Wow!

He's all bubbly today, we chatted at about 0800, & he's as excited as a schoolkid. Delighted for the daft bugger. He's coming to Equal Chance on Friday, & with "Nipper Maria" there too, blonde will be parading it's peeps of the moment.

Compo, who was playing The Daddy until 2am, & at work (ATR) for 7am, is doing the Sky Show tonight, with Richard Orford. I don't know how he copes with so little kip.

I did the Show last night, & it was Dan Lobb's first effort as a Presenter on "The Open", & he did pretty good, as expected, as he's a professional Broadcaster by trade, & does Sky Sports News I believe.

A meet came up in Feltham today, so I made a late decision to stay over last night.

I gotta get an Article written today, too, for the Sky Poker Blog, & I've decided to write about the Boot-Camp. But I've got writers block. Blank page, no words will come. It's horrible.

After I've done the article, & had the Meet, I'll head home, & plan to play the DTD £100 Omaha tonight, though I seem unusually tired right now, so I'm not a deffo runner - it's these early mornings I guess, on Saturday, Sunday, & today.

There has been such a bunch of BTS stuff in blonde these last few days, it's gone mad, I've had 113 e-Mails since Monday, not to mention PM's, Calls & Texts. But we had a bit better day yesterday, & made some excellent progress. I really can't be doing with unnecessary grief these days, & although I retain my composure externally, I get very cross "inside" about it, it's using up time I can't afford to waste. Pfft.

Talking of handling incoming mail & texts, Chili had 117 incoming Texts on Sunday, whilst she was doing her GUKPT thing, not to mention scores of Facebook messages, e-Mails, PM's, etc.

She is incredibly popular on blonde, witness the amazing & genuine warmth towards her during the GUKPT.

She did the 'phone-in to Sky last night, & then later, she was televised playing the Final - Final! - of Late Night Poker. She had a cooler, & ran QQ into KK. She plays KK v AA & AA much better.....

I still can't figure her exit hand at the GUKPT. Ketul makes it 60k (600k behind, blinds still small), she shoves all-in for 300k with A-T suited, & he insta-calls with 8-6. Can anyone help me understand that 8-6 play? I just can't figure it out at all.
