yes, its a great program and a must watch for younger people of some of the dangers to be wary of while abroad.
most of the stories have been about drug smuggling ,there has been a lot of nightmare stories of scared people alllowing themselves to be used as mules,.always reminds me of the 70s film midnight express, ross kemp has shown the conditions in many prisons around the world, they are horrific and
you would have to be either very naive or absolutely stupid to try and smuggle drugs in these countries
,i think most are naive at first, then later too scared to refuse the drug smugglers,
Personally I think greed plays the biggest part.

I believe the mini-steering wheel on these classic cars controls the spark timing - advance or retard a bit depending on starting, smooth running, uphill, etc.
Oh, and running boards aren't just for cars. I just came back from hols and took the wife+kids to a train museum. Cos the kids like trains, obv.
.
The pic is of a double-decker coach. There were no connecting doors between carriages, so for the conductor to inspect tickets, he stood on the running boards and inspected the lower decks through the windows. While the train was moving. This was pre-H&S, obviously

See if you can work out the country this train museum was. Snowplow. Apparently, because it completely blocked the driver's view, a man used to perch on top and shout back to the driver if the wall of snow was likely to prove difficult...

Thanks. That seems to be the concensus.
That double-decker railway carriage is some monster! Presumably not many tunnels or bridges on that line.
Double-Decker railway carriages are quite normal in mainland Europe, I've seen them in Holland, Austria, & Russia. But they would be impossible in the UK, as our tunnels & bridges are too low.

No idea. Japan or Switzerland spring to mind, but with no great confidence.

So was I!
I could not possibly foresee I would not make Day Two, entering the penultimate level with 27k. (Average 19k).
But it all went horribly wrong in two hands. Self-inflicted, in a way, as I did not have to get involved in either hand.
Hey-ho.

Before I bore you to tears with my DTD Mini Toiurney Report, did you see this effort from the ever-mischievious Miss Mason from yesterday's DTD Update?
I spied her taking a picture & scurrying away with the look of an excited schoolgirl, & evidently she then invsted some time in photo-shopping......She's some girl. The IQ of a mad scientist, but still got schoolgirl mischief in her. How can you not adore her?
Seriously clever stuff from Miss Mason.

Everything was perfect about the DTD £300 yesterday - a comfortable sized field (smaller than usual, due to the Bolton GUKPT & Football I guess), & lots of good pals, including Tom, Ralph, & DingDongDell.
Annoyingly, & almost uniquely, the Event started late - almost a DTD first I'd say. A whole 30 seconds late, just not good enough.....
I'd been working hard all day on persuading DingDell to play, but it's a long drive for her, & she's running thin right now. So when she Exited in Level One (KK into AA), I felt awful, especially as I was running so well. But she played the £50, did a 4 way DTD-style Chop, & pocketed £600+, very nice, so it worked out OK in the end, & a £300-ish profit was very welcome I'd imagine.
Tom managed to get all-in in the first few minutes, & it was such a shock that Mother Hen announced it over the PA! He survived, his oppo laying diown Aces on a J-9-2 Flop. He had - well, I'll let him tell you that.
Tom exited horribly, when Matey Boy Pot-Raised in early position to about 1,200, & Tom shoved with A-Q - & Matey Boy insta-called with 4-4!
Ralph was card-dead all night, but tired of the same guy nicking his BB round after round, got all Linton-esque & shoved with air, & got it through. He shared my table only briefly, which was a shame, as I was Button to his BB, & I quite fancied a few of his chips.

There was the oddest hand on my Table just after the first break. Quiet, solid guy to my left made it 600 (100-200), & a Gent at the other end suddenly slapped his entire 7k in the middle! WTF?
Eventually, solid guy calls with AK, I mean, he can't be in too bad shape here, can he?
Mr Popper tabled A-6. Not one, but two sixes appeared, which is fair enough, but he than gave an almighty table-bang. Ugh.
Mr Popper continued in this vein, before very soon & very inevitably imploding.
He'd been perfectly "normal" pre-Break, but post-break, his demeanour changed completely. Very odd.
"Mr Popper" does, of course, refer to his style of re-popping everyone. Just in case you thought otherwise.
