Did Jonathan say that I have a bet ?
No. He said you've got a bloody nerve.

Although the blinds seem big at 5k - 10k, they've actually been rolled back from 8,000 - 16,000 to give the final more play. Good for them. And thanks to Simon Woolf for this piece of information, as I'd clear forgotten it. He is the young scion of BlueSquare Marketing, and yesterday was modelling the New Design Fleece they're coming out with. The little things they've brought along have made it for the final - Dan Samson sporting backwards baseball hat... they must be proud.

Well Iron, I would not put it like that exactly. There IS a monitor, just outside the cardroom. So I can see all the action from where I am, but Jen can't. I think she is goling to leave the cardroom & jolin me shortly.
Oddly, there has been no announcing of the action at all. Mind you, it appears to be all Raise & Pass stuff. They will loosen up soon, no doubt.

I'd like to thank her, on behalf of everyone watching, for her devotion to the cause. It's a privelege and a joy to work with her, &, if you don't mind me saying so, you are very lucky to have her as Updater.
Hear hear, so talented, makes me sick (in a nice way)

Fantastic job Jen and Tikay, I hope you're getting enough liquids to keep you going.

Well, I don't know about that, but thank you for being nice. It makes the centuries of watching folding to a preflop raise fly by like weeks.
They've turned a monitor on in here! Good good. Now I can tell you who's been nicking the blinds for the last half hour.

No Iron, nobody can see the hole cards. Except the holders of them, presumably.
They have now switched on the Plasma TV Screen IN the cardroom, so the audience, & Jen, can see what's happening.
I guess the lack of "hand announcing" is at the request of the TV peeps, as it would cut across their commentators, who, of course, we can't hear. It's all rather quiet & anti-climatic at the moment, truth to tell.
Camel's description of Mr Rabb's retort is uncannily near the mark. How on earth would he know how they do things at Blue Squirr....sorry, Blue SQUARE?

I'm afraid I can't take any more pics in the cardroom tonight, as the TV peeps get cross at my camera when it flashes. But I may be able to sneak a few somehow.

Try with flash off and hold camera steady, TV lights should be enough

Mick Fletcher (the big blind) and Stuart Fox see a ac
flop, which Stuart takes down betting. And then Mick gets involved in another pot right away from the small blind against Dan Samson - and it's a biggie - Mick bets out committing Dan to all-in on the flop which is:
Dan Samson shows ac kh (couldn't see the actual suits, sorry - they didn't focus on them that long) having called Mick's qs kd. It looked OK until the turn brought the qd and the river the inconsequential ts....
So Dan Samson OUT in 9th, winning £4,000.
