They are also made by squirrels, we have several similiar holes in our garden.

I can't work out how a squirrel could make such a small, perfectly round hole though.

Unless he has one of these....

so youve got it,

got all my hole saws but some bugger 'borrowed' the bit that goes into the drill.

my brain surgery career is somewhat stalled without it

They will be armed with far worse round here!

I've been watching them in the garden, its a bit hard to explain but they appear to start digging by going round in circles then burrow their noses in until they pull out whatever was in there. This morning it was some sort of small red berry.

Been learning about Voyager 2.

Stone the crows! What a great story.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyager_2

After the fly-by of Saturn, the camera platform of Voyager 2 locked up briefly, putting plans to officially extend the mission to Uranus and Neptune in jeopardy. Fortunately, the mission's engineers were able to fix the problem (caused by an overuse that temporarily depleted its lubricant), and the Voyager 2 probe was given the go-ahead to explore the Uranian system.

I wish there was more detail ablot incedents like this though. I mean, how the devil did they fix it form all that distance away?

That little red tube on their can of WD40 must have been very long.

What are these, and why does every square yard of my field suddenly have 3 or 4 of them? They are about the size of a 2p piece.

They look like the holes made when you are trying to stick a washing whirlygig thing in the ground?

Wouldn't you rather talk about how amazing it is to have witnessed the decline of the house sparrow and the rise of the buzzard.

I wish it was the decline of the dreaded sparrow hawk.

I was walking along the carr dyke last week and saw a sparrow hawk trying to catch a kingfisher, luckily
i startled the hawk and Mr kingfisher survived.

We lost loads of kingfishers in those exceptionally long hard frosts this year.

You have a man who appreciates everything he see's every time he leaves the house. Im jealous of this.

One million times more interesting than anything poker related.
