There has been a lot of talk about travellers around Leeds recently. Unfortunately for the travellers they decided to land themselves at Seacroft and Halton Moor this year. It must be noted both these areas are extremely rough.

Widespread rumours started to surface about the criminal activities of some of these travellers at the two given locations. Within days the two sites caravans had been trashed/smashed/burned by the local vigilantes. Now its fair to say the travellers moved sharpish to another site away from Leeds.

I do wonder if rumours are started deliberately by locals to stir up trouble and violence? or they are true and locals feel they got what they deserved?

I also wonder if travellers do some research into the areas they decide to vacate? because surely you don't want to live in Halton Moor!

He Posted that he might be at DTD Saturday - not playing the Event -  & "will say Hi". I expect he "knows me" from 865 or SP.

Sky cannot prevent him entering the premises as he is not playing the Event.

I have no idea of what DTD's position would be, though I can guess, & young Sinclair would not hesitate to have a word.....

As I said earlier, I sent him a Message offering to introduce him to you tomorrow - I've not had a reply yet.

His FB Page gives his address as Nottingham.

Tell me what children deserve to be terrorised have their lives put in danger, and have their homes smashed up and burned, what ever their parents may, or may nor have done.

I have no opinions on the situation or what happened, I have not had time to think about it really. I am just repeating what people are discussing and the local papers have reported.

Of course owt like this is disgusting and horrendous, but its really warped the coverage it gets in favour of the local scrubbers who decide to act.

Sorry again, but I've seen first hand the consequences of these things and believe me, it's not pretty.

Would it not be better to try to educate him? I just think that even if the authorities do anything it's unlikely to change his behaviour, only re-enforce it but an attempt to engage him and show him he's wrong could make a positive difference.

That happens to be my view, too, Paul. In fact, I doubt he means, or believes, what he's written. Kids just Post stuff without thinking sometimes. You need to sort the wheat from the chaff, the hardcore guys need reporting, yeah, but most if it is just kids doing dumbspeak, trying to look big.

Social Media platforms empower us all - including youngsters who would not otherwise have a voice, & so the power goes to their head. Or fingertips.
