I'd like to cross Russia on horseback.
Now that is an itch I would like to scratch at some point.
I reckon a horseback trek in Argentina and horseback Safari in Botswana will happen at some point over the next few years.
GTFO Andy, you've already told us that your scared shitless the minute the horse gets out of first gear.
Its true Ralph
But I can ride, I just need some practise at going fast
You have to be a pretty good rider to go on a horse safari, so my plan was to have a bunch of lessons. Then go on the Argentina trip and follow it fairly quickly with the Botswana trip. But it was expensive and holidays seasons didn't match to be able to do it that way. I will get round it it eventually, but in the meantime I've got a few places like China, Philippines, and Indonesia in the planning to keep me occupied
You ever been to Skeggy?
I love the Skeggy donkeys. they won't go a step beyond their turn around point on the beach.
If they get a big idiot aboard and he starts showing off, they can dump him on to the sand with consummate ease while retaining a look of absolute innocence.
That's the next Old Git's Outing sorted then with Woodsey as a guest.
I might need 1 donkey for each cheek
I'm sure there's a big ass joke in there somewhere.
Maybe, I'll mule it over.
Ooofff!
We might have to rename it The Old Canterer's Outing...
Actually Ralph, I quite enjoy a day at the seaside out of season. It's really exhilarating to walk along the beach, especially in rough weather.
We could go to Blackpool or Brighton, book into a B&B, spend the day pottering about getting into mischief a la Last of the Summer Wine, have a fish and chip supper, and finish off by playing whatever poker tourney happens to be available.
Tony can be Foggy, I'll be Compo, and you can be Clegg. (Simon will have to be Nora Batty)

It's not on, imo.

+1 I try to tell myself not to but it's just not going to happen.
I still get more work done than anyone else in the company as I work in 30 minutes bursts..just flatout battering through stuff for 30 minutes or so and then I take a little break again. I just hate plodding on through the entire day...people that do that might seem like they're busy all the tme but I reckon they're just not very good at their jobs.
Reckon I could probably work part-time TBH..4 hrs a day proper work is enough to do get the job done most days, shame my boss doesn't agree.

That sounds like an excellent idea.
I did actually suggest going "somewhere by the sea" when we were putting forward ideas before.
Deal me in.

Which is best?
Trevor McDonald.
Or
Reginald Bosanquet.
Lenny Henry used to impersonate McDonald, but the fabulous Pamela Stephenson did a song about Bosanquet.
I'm going for Reggie because I've had a life-long crush on Pamela.

I will go for Natasha Kaplinsky, sweet.

Good choice Trev.
I quite like the girl from the red sofa morning news programme. You know the one I mean, mid 30's. dark hair, slightly buxom. Not a classic beauty as such, but has a mischievous smile. Looks as though she goes like a lavatory door.

Not that I'm interested in that sort of thing of course. I just appreciate her for the outstanding intellect.

Actually, No. I'm getting confused.
I do like her as well, but she's not the one.
The one I'm on about has shoulder length hair and often wears red,
