Who is this Marris guy?  Seems like a hero if you ask me

Oh he's a total hero, and he's very creative. He has a great way with the words, especially those that rhyme with Flanagan.

I'm already mesmerised by his incredible word play.

I went to the Palace of Westminster today for a meeting with Baroness Whitaker, or 'Janet' as I call her  Tongue

I'm not going to bother to thinly disguise it, this is an out and out brag post.

It tickles me pink when I walk past all the tourists and onlookers, past the policemen and the security guards and on through the big doors into the old hall.

People must think "I wonder who he is?"   If only they knew eh?

This is an impression of the old hall when parliament used to sit there.

And this is a snap I took today.

I took a few more pictures of things that interested me, like this gigantic statue of two lovers kissing under the clock at St Pancras.

I like the fact that her handbag is real. I bet there's a shed-load of junk in there.

She has bloody big feet too for a girl. I bet she's a great swimmer.

Great pics Tom, no pic of Janet?

I love St.Pancras station. When I was 50 my son Callum was working a gap year in London and he paid for a hotel, show and meal down there. We went by train via Derby and terminated at St.Pancras, it was the first time I'd seen it. Incidently I hadn't been to London in over 25 years.  Shocked Shocked Shocked Made up for it since though, love it.

Joo saw the Brambling again on Sunday, still no bleeding pic though.

I saw this group of French shoppers excitedly examining their purchases while presumably waiting for the Eurostar.

I consulted google translate and asked, "Puis-je m'asseoir avec vous?"   "Mais bien sûr, monsieur"  they replied, but, my French exhausted, I went all shy and chickened out.

I would love to take a pic of Baroness W, but I daren't be so presumptuous.

She's a scary lady if you get the wrong side of her.

I had a mooch around Foyles bookshop as usual. I never buy anything (Too expensive) but I do get some great ideas about what to look out for on Amazon or to download on Kindle.

Today they were promoting books by George Orwell. Apparently, it's his 110th birthday. (he's dead btw).

Something struck me as unusual about the books on display. See if you can spot it.

I was mesmerised by this fabulous tiger made entirely from recycled rubbish. He was there to draw attention to the fact that tigers are on the brink of extinction.

There are currently more tigers in captivity than there are in the wild.

Now there's a sobering thought.

Get this book and read it. I will be asking questions later.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sliding-Snow-Stone-ebook/dp/B005OSABPC#reader_B005OSABPC

So, did you read it? I'm sure you did, but just to prove it, answer these questions.

What happened to dad?

What did the girl in the woods give him?

What did he lose in the card game?

You brought it on yourself. You practically forced me to review it.

I wish I hadn't been so lenient now.
