Happy new year mr & mrs red
We went to Portugal for 4 years on the trot and loved it
we found an amazing beach (Praia da Marinha) It had a big car park at the top .. And quite a few steps to get down to the beach with the most amazing views.
Hope you both have a wonderful time you look really happy in photo

As a rule we like to find somewhere to camp before it gets dark but last night we left it a bit late. A light rain was falling and we had just resigned ourselves to a night on Lidl's car park when we stumbled across a sort of sand dune area on the east bank of the river Arade. There were several other vans dotted around so we knew that it would be Ok to stay. It turned out to be a really good place, the river was well lit and quiet busy with lots of traffic coming and going, everything from tiny fishing smacks to multi million pound ocean going yachts. I was up for hours just watching them. Click to see full-size image. |

While we were here I noticed something unusual. Hundreds of small snails made a point of climbing on to any available piece of metal, including our van.
I wonder why?
