What is it about blokes of a certain age and motorbikes lol. My big bro has just recently started with this also,
my mum is doing her absolute nut about it even though my bro is 56 lol

I agree with some of them - I'm now in a position to be able to afford it, don't have someone moaning about it and putting me off, and not working away a lot so home to be able to enjoy the bike.
I jokingly call the bike Mid Life Crisis, but tbh it's just me doing something purely for me for once.

That's a little generous, if I may say so Rod?
You & Tom must add up to 120, if we add in Boo, you are north of 200.

And as age increases, some blokes seem to graduate up to the big Harley type bikes, its nearly always older blokes riding those. Maybe they need a bike with a big sofa type seat to be comfortable lol

I've always liked the cruiser style bikes, it's not a speed thing for me, so I might as well be comfortable.
Saying that a cruiser suits my build now so you may have a point.

Hi
Long time listener, first time caller.
Read an interesting article in newsweek the other day on the rise of Christianity in the Gypsy and Traveller communities. Thought would be interesting to get your views on it. Is it a phenomenon you've observed?

Yes. it's a phenomenon I've observed. It first came to my attention about 25 years ago and imo (unsupported by hard data) peaked about 10 years ago.
Overall, I think the the article gives a fair if somewhat exaggerated impression of the reality.
Life and Light is a significant movement within the Gypsy/Traveler community, but it's nothing new.

Ah OK, thanks. It did mention it was the second time around, but made it sound like it was having a greater impact on communities this time.
