Marv, that was my Diary, where I put interesting stuff up, like men of substance, dead fish washed up on the beach and the mystery of why the gulls ignored them, and Robbie Williams stuff. And that wonderful Supreme Court thing.

Quite insulted you would confuse my diary with the how to make a cup of tea diary.

Have you been watching Attenborough's 'The Hunt' and 'Africa'?

Have you been watching Attenborough's 'The Hunt' and 'Africa'?

Yes, watched the first one of The Hunt last night.

Was slightly disappointed, tbh. Not because it was poor, or bad, not at all, but he has set the bar so high, & I don't think it improved on anything he has done before. I did enjoy seeing that wildebeest stave off the lions though, after it looked like it was gg him.

Thought those foxes, stalking mole rats & so forth were pretty neat, too.

The latest "Africa", & "Planet Earth", in contrast, are breathtakingly good.

There was a film sequence of a "red hot ant" (or similar name) being cleverly trapped by another nasty little insect who trapped the ant by digging a hole & sort of acting like a volcano, & throwing sand granules up in the air, bombarding the ant & making it impossible to climb out of the hole. Then he crushed it to death & ate it. Well, he does not eat it as such, he just sucks all the innards out of it. mmm, crushed spicy ant innard juice.

If I could only have one TV Channel it would be Eden, I could watch that stuff 24/7.

The "Wild" series on Nat Geo is spectacularly good too, with Wild Russia my personal jolly, followed by Wild Mississippi.

Great TV.

10 seconds on google & I find it is called an Antlion.

This is not from Attenborough's Africa, it's a random septic narrating, but it shows how Mr Antlion goes about his work.

Not being rude, like, Dan, but it's like comparing a Rolls Royce to an old banger.

Impossible to get them confused.

When TV baddies plant a bomb or a tracking device, why does it always have a red flashing light on it?
