For people of a certain age it's worth watching if only for the nostalgia of seeing the old motors in the street scenes. Cortinas, Moggy thou's, Marinas, milk floats.

The decor in the houses, Anaglypta, lava lamps, sunburst clocks, eye-level grill cookers.

The personal effects, 20 Bensons, Ronson lighter, Accurist watch on an expanding bracelet, Foster Grant sunglasses.

Plus, all those hard men and dolly bird actors that you thought you had forgotten about.

If you look them up they are all either brown bread or doddering old codgers now.

Not everyone ages as well as me.

I caught an episode of Call My Bluff last week.Although it was commonplace,i was surprised at how surprised i was to see the panel of celebrities smoking.

Ahh, Call My Bluff, I remember the original series with Fwank Muir and Patrick Campbell. Was there ever a more genteel and wholesome show?

I wonder what they would have made of Channel Naked Attraction?

We were such an undemanding audience back then, we just watched whatever they put on.

It's amazing to think that if you were watching a serial, like Family at War or Roots, you had to stay in to watch it, and if someone rang or knocked at the door then that was it, you missed it.
