I'm afraid all we know currently about number of runners etc is that there are 449 remaining at this moment in time. From the virtual pen of Ms Mad Harper:

dear all

I don't think I'll have a full list for today until about 6pm. The tournament team had a computer problem - it's now fixed but it's set them back time-wise.

Best wishes
Mad

Is it a cloche that Vicky is sporting ?

Or perhaps the DTD deluxeburger hat as seen modelled previously by Sloppy ?

What kind of hat do y'all reckon Vicky Coren is wearing today?  Clearly not a cowboy hat or she'd have made the final cut of hat of the day, but what, then??

Is it a kiss me quick, squeeze me slowly hat?

Our survey says -

Is it a hat that resembles a small frog, as displayed by this happy chappy?

A flat cap?  Worn backwards like the chaps in Boyzone used to do?

A balaclava helmet?

Meanwhile I have found Mr Michael Martin, who says "Hi mom!" for when Ms TheReader appears. He says he's tired, but appears most cheerful. He's right at the back of the room, next to the window, and as I was chatting to him the curtains opened and oh my God the sunshine! I could live here forever and I swear I'd never get used to it. Will most surely get some photos of the awesome, awesome view, as soon as Snoopy lets me have the camera.  Angry

Dana --

The Reader has appeared.  Looking forward to a picture.  Since Trond isn't playing today, perhaps you can give the smileys to Michael.

Another famous face that has been spotted today is Italian Pirate and former WSOP bracelet winner Max Pescatori. As I joined his table, he was seemingly praying to the poker gods with his hands clasped before him. With a 7h-5d-Th Flop on board, Max had called an initial bet of 1.2k, only to find Mateyboy push all-in for 8k behind him, with the initial aggressor following suit with an all-in of his own. Hesitant to fold at first, Max did eventually pass, likely pleased to see the aggressor turn over 5h-5c for a set of Fives. Surprisingly, the all-iner could only muster a Ac--Kc (he understandably smirked when he saw how much trouble he was in), and quickly exited stage left as the turn and River dealt out blanks.

James 'Honeymonster' Honeybone must have munched on a few sugar puffs during the break. He was previously struggling with 12.4k after running top two pair into quads, but is now bobbing his head back above water with 15.3k.

With Mats Iremark, Ram Vaswani, Gavin Griffin and Arnuad Mattern, it's like a river of a champions out there, and one more has been pulled out of the water in 2007 Barcelona winner Sander Lylloff. With the poise and calm of someone who has won an EPT, Sander re-raised his American foe (250 to 600 to 1,900) on a 6c-As-5h Flop to add a few vital chips to his stack. He's still only on 13,500, but he seemed very calculated in his decision, prudently working out where he stood in the hand and precisely what bet to make. Either that or he's just a bloomin slow coach.
