At the age of 16 Cheltenham's Dan Carter wanted to be a Professional Golf Coach. By the age of 18 he was a fully sponsored Poker Professional, after being noticed by Poker.co.uk/Matt Dale. Not yet 21 years old, he's recognised as one of the UK game's brightest talents. He does a mean wind up thread too!

His biggest live cash to date is his 2nd place (to Jeff Kimber) finish in last year's World Heads Up in Barcelona for over $80,000. On the live circuit only since 2005 he has a $40,000 cash at EPT Dortmund, a win at the Luton Christmas Cracker Pot limit event and a number of other final tables to his name

Online Dan won a Poker Stars $500k gtd for over $100,000.

You can see more about his exploits at www.luckyscrote.blogspot.com.

Hopefully over the next week, when he's not on the golf course, he's on this thread answering your questions and those from his friends at poker.co.uk where this thread will be linked

Over to you...............

What edge do you believe you have over the field in any given EPT event? (in roi terms)

Is it worth playing them without sponsorship, given the sick varience?

Clever set up by the mods this, Tighty makes the standard opening post and then kin delivers the killer blow. A classic 1-2.

How did you get started with Poker, and what kind of games were you playing?
What were your early results like?

I read somewhere that you read like 10 poker books a while back. Were you a winning player before this or did reading all of them help your game hugely?

Secondly, who do you think is the most over rated player on the UK circuit?

-I'm sure you said something about tightening up a lot in 2008. Can you tell us your thought process, is it a direct response to the games getting loser?
- heads up versus Devilfish - you lolowned him, did you rate him? do you think he's a player that's had his time at the top of UK poker?
- if you could incorporate one quality from another UK poker player what would it be, who from and why?

tournaments:
- at what stack size are you never open raising/folding
- at what stack size are you never 3bet/folding pre

just a shame that some people have deleted their posts to hide pwnage. boo to you.

ok, questions

1) knowing Matt I would assume he was drunk when he offered you sponsorship. Did you think he was joking?

2) what's your handicap?

3) if you could hand a sponsorship deal to an unsponsored UK player who would it be?
