Gl Trigg

Looks like you're buying the beers.

Trigg is OUT.

First, Paul Garnham limped the button and Trigg made up with Two Diamonds.

On a K-Q-3, Trigg took a stab, the big blind folded but Garnham called, both checked the Ace on the turn, and then a 5 appeared on the river, where Trigg now bet his concealed wheel, Garnham moved in and Trigg called, only for Garnham to show the FACT-ually ahead J-T for Broadway.

Trigg left with fumes, which went in with Q-5 vs Purewal's T-4 which spiked a ten.

Mike Millar also looks to have been eliminated.

Good luck to Jason 'Pidgeon' Wong who is always a good laugh and any blondes still in

He's hanging in there, taking inspiration in the matter of respect-inspiring militaryesque dress and posture from such leaders as General George Crook.  So far it's worked - he's taken a few Penly chips and looks like a final contender for sure.

Jason Wong

General Crook

So when I do references to Red Dawn, THAT'S obscure?

Chris Bushell is OUT - pictured here on the left next to Pete Singleton, while still in:

One hand did most of the damage - he was check-called by Daniel Ward on a board of when he bet 2,500, and then when the river came a three diamonds, Ward checked to him again.  He bet 11k.  Back to Ward, who came to the right decision in the end, calling with just .  "You win," said Bushell, mucking his hand as his bluff was picked off.

Then he found the perfectly reasonable to move in with preflop, but he was called by Ward again who'd picked up which developed into a house (the board came Q-4-4-9-8) for good measure.  Not his afternoon.

                          ouch

Mark Stafford just busted in circumstances in which he was probably quite reasonably expecting to get a nice double up plus some... After a standard raise and button call, small blind Dave Penly moved all in.  Big blind Stafford was quick to follow suit, and this got rid of both other contenders for the pot.

"Anyone have an Ace?" asked Stafford as he fllipped , and saw Penly's squeezy .

No reply, and straight away the flop came .  "How do you do it?" ruefully asked Stafford as the turn and river bricked leaving him heading for the rail.

Antonio Dicesare has knocked out another player, sadly we don't know who because we've not got any seating plan type stuff for today. Anyway Discesare flipped against the shorty's and after a comprehensive board we're down to 16 players.

Aside for fans of cars going fast:

Simon Trumper has announced that the Grand Prix will be showing on the multitude of lovely flatscreens down here so if anyone feels like multitasking watching that and playing cards, well, you can do that, here.

Big pot between Antonio Dicesare and Daniel Ward, the latter had bet 20k on the turn of a which Dicesare called, before announcing he was checking in the dark on the river.

The came and Ward checked behind showing a set of tens, Discesare had pipped him on the river with but it begs the question why he would ever want to check in the dark there in case his straight came?

Our remaining two tables, one responding better to the flash than the other...

On the former of the two Mark Lewis has lost a decent chunk of chips, calling a raise from Jason Wong before both checked the two spades Two Clubs flop. Lewis check/called 6k on the and then 12k on the river only to muck when Wong showed for the house. Oh it's all gone Wong for Lewis... Roll Eyes
